Good video from Tyler Jenks who is a traditional money manager. He is known for what he calls hyper waves. It is really worth understanding what Hyper waves are, he describes these in his other videos.
BTW he is bearish now and believes we have not hit the bear market low.

very interesting

To accomplish great stuff, that usually means you need to work hard all the time. [...]

I have seen the word 'usually' but I would rather describe it as follows:
Quote
To accomplish great stuff, you need to persist, focus and constantly test your assumptions

Especially the latter is usually absent when talking Bitcoin (yes, I fall into the same pitfall)  Cool

Relevance of anecdote?

Sounds to me as if you are claiming that, seeing as we all have access to different opportunities, it isn't even worth trying to improve your circumstance.

I call bullshit on that. Everyone has the same opportunity to endeavor to improve their situation.
You're an intelligent guy but now you are deliberately misunderstanding. It's obvious the point was quite opposite of 'not worth trying' as the girl in this story "worked hard to catch up".

What really is BS is stating that everyone has the same opportunity to endeavour to improve their situation. In order to do that you'll need, well, opportunity. If you're totally tied up in whatever circumstances you might not have that. This idea that anyone can just 'break free' at any time from any circumstances is just plain naive frankly.
The idea that "trying to improve your life" could somehow be interpreted as "just breaking free at any time from any circumstance" is just plain naive. When did anybody ever say that improving your life was generally easy? Where do you even take those arguments from?

You set a target in your life. (That usually happens when you are in high school or earlier. The earlier the better.)

If you are smart, the target should be achievable.

Most people with average intelligence usually reach their goals in life. (Making decent money, having a decent salary job, wife&kids, a yacht etc)

If you are smarter, you achieve your target faster than the others. A lot faster. That makes the real difference. I am not that smart but I can identify a smart guy instantly. Most people don't have that talent. :p

Hard work in smart way will make the things easier than others doing.Being in a decent salaried job is not a good achievement it is same as being a slave to king which makes no difference to being a slave to civilian. Do business and start cashflow on your own by hardwork don't work hard to make someone rich (job).

Depends.

Depends on what problems you are experiencing as a yacht owner. Maybe you shouldn't own a yacht. Without having enough budget and knowledge, having a yacht might become your nightmare and that's when you realize you didn't make an intelligent decision by buying a yacht. Maybe a 45feet long boat isn't for you but only a 32 feet. Maybe you didn't like sailboats. Maybe you are a motorboat guy. Maybe you don't like to hold the wheel, maybe you want a captain on a pay roll. Maybe you don't want to deal with the repairs, maybe you don't have the money to have someone to deal with this shit.

Depends on a lot. Intelligence bruh. You gotta know what is going to make you happy.

There are two classes, ownership and wage slaves.  You are correct if you are working for a salary you are pretty much a financial loser in the capitalistic society.  I don't think highly of people with money because they are usually scumbags but you have to be an owner if you want to be rich.

No it doesn't. Nobody needs a yacht. It is purely a status symbol. Maybe that's useful to you in your situation, but in that case the yacht is not the end but merely the means to something else.

Dumb people might get rich that's true. Staying rich is also not an easy task. You still need to be clever to stay rich. There will be smarter people around those rich&dumb people and in a matter of years they'll lose their shit and go back to where they were.

Many smart people don't get rich and that's true too. I didn't say all the smart people get super rich. I said they usually reach their goals. That's not always about being super rich. Many people ask nothing more than a wife&kids and a house and they usually get it. Yeah some poor fucks don't get what they want but who gives a fuck.

In statistics you ignore the extreme samples to have a meaningful result. That's why I said usually.

I refuse this.

By this line of thinking nobody should own a Lamborghini or a private Jet neither, yet they do. Whatever makes you happy buddy. If a person dreams of having a yacht, if he thinks it is going to make him happy, he should own it and nobody can do anything about it. (You can replace "yacht" with anything you like. A super car, a plane, a helicopter...)
