What a suprise. I tried to overlay the price action, I wonder how much flowed into BTC? I think I got it right..... Look! very interesting! does anyone know if there is a way to determine how much money getting freshly invested in crypto goes to btc and how much goes into alts? does a 50% btc dominance hint that is about 50/50? is there a correlation?

It doesn’t make any difference to me if the price goes as low as $3,122.
We are betting reputations.
I just heard that Vinny Lingham and Ronnie Moas made a BTC price bet that is $20k to go to "free Ross fund" for the loser. Their bet is going to end about two months before the bet between you two (V8 and Hairy). If you don't know Lingham and Moas, they are a couple of OG pump and dump scam experts in their respective areas. Anyhow their bet goes until the end of 2019, and Lingham is betting that BTC will NOT hit $28,000 at any time before the end of 2019. So Lingham and Moas are betting the upper BTC price direction limitations and you two (V8 and Hairy) are betting on the lower BTC price limitations. Let's see if the middle holds.. it is a broad price range between bets and still quite early to know.

Hope you get well soon brother. Having fever is good in a way. It's the resistance system to kill the unexpected bacteria or virus that is trying to attack us. Wow, good to know that! I wasn't aware of that fact. Never heard of this Bithumb exchange before. Who cares if they cut down the staff even 100% LOL
Well, Bithumb is probably the number one crypto exchange of South Korea. I remember that South Koreans were buying bitcoin at the premium rate of $25,000 each during December 2017, from Bithumb. Most importantly no bad news about the public world wide exchange bitfinex. God bless bitfinex

What an idiotic video. The damn finger snapping just about made me chew my hand off. Google trands search is an interesting metric. I do not think it will continue to be acurate in predicting price.

Lingham will win even if he is a scammer.

Ahhhh I still win if we bounce off $3,122? I thought that you guys were referring to the previous low on Stamp, which would have been $3,122.28 (I believe), so wouldn't V8 win if it goes below $3,122.28? Hopefully, the a dipping BTC price would not come that close (or fall within an ambiguous $.28 range).

Lingham will win even if he is a scammer. I tend to agree with you, especially once BTC went below $6k like it did. One of the redeeming characteristics for the Ronnie Moas position is that they made the bet in early November 2018 - which was before BTC broke below $6k... so Moas was on much stronger grounds, at that time. Currently, Moas's odds of winning seem to be pretty low (maybe in the less than 10% arena), but likely not as bad as the McAfee's odds (which are probably in the less than 5% arena).

folks, I attended one of tone vays workshops and I have to tell you that this the right thing to recharge your btc batteries. very professional, nice guy, had dinner and later some drinks with tone and to my complete surprise adam back showed up at the dinner also. those guys live and breathe bitcoin, they have dedicated their lives to it. afterwards I decided to also attend the understanding bitcoin conference in Malta in about 2 weeks. there are still seats left, it will be a conference with no shitcoinery at all, great way of socializing with bitcoin titans. this is not a very large conference, more intimate, the panel&workshops look great, a price of 0.1 btc seems to be ok for a 3 day event and flights to Malta are cheap. I strongly recommend it for everyone that wants to personally get to know those folks, who wants to renew their belief in our sacred coin. it is absolutely amazing that even now after 10 years of bitcoin you can easily get to meet the very folks who are working on this beast and have a beer with them. grab your ticket! this is cool stuff. https://understandingbtc.com/https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2sGpCG6Nzc

War, famile, pestilence. Death in some form. These are the things that can end a declining culture and rejuvenate it. The things that can end the cultural cycle and start it all over again. ( http://people.uncw.edu/kozloffm/glubb.pdf) They are also the names of the four horsemen of the apocalypse in the bible. This is no coincidence. The cycle has repeated itself endlessly ever since the first city was founded many thousands of years ago and people have noticed patterns over time and used religion as a method to help people to live in a way that makes them more likely to survive and less likely to die. This was obviously not done through rigorous analysis, but as an emergent property of living in the world. Many groups of people throughout all of history tried many different things and the ones that worked best spread and became dominant. The ultimate result of this to data are the abrahamic religions. Other religious stories that have root in physical reality: The Flood. Ten thousand years ago or so large parts of the world were covered in miles of ice. It got warmer, the ice melted, and enormous inland lakes formed. As the land shifted over time, sometimes there would be a breach in these lakes and they would flow into the ocean, taking anything in the path along with it. So imagine waking up one day, and there is a new river next door. Right where the other village with those Other people used to be. A river which disappears after a few days or weeks. How do you interpret this? Obviously it must be the work of god. Which means they must have done Something to deserve it, for the gods are merciful and love us. So how do you avoid it happening to you? Don't piss off the gods. Follow their rules. And in this way the religion as a whole is enforced. Sodom and Gomorrah. From time to time, groups of people go insane and kill one another. It happened in rome, it happened twenty times in the 20th century, it has happened countless times on smaller scales. Calhoun provides some clue as to why. The Tower of Babel. In ancient mesopotamia, some 3-4000 years ago, in the area we today call the middle east and egypt, there lived the at the time most advanced people in the world. We know about them because they had everything we do: They had writing, laws, trade, cities, kings and centralized government. About the only things we have that they didn't is modern technology and knowledge of the physical world. And we know about them because they wrote stuff. Mostly boring political stuff, and business ledgers. There were a number of different groups, and they all communicated and traded with one another, much like we do today between nations. Different languages technically speaking, but they could all communicate, they were on the same wavelength. Close enough to a common language for the purposes of a narrative allegory. They also had huge temples called ziggurats, which may be where the inspiration for the tower came from. And then they collapsed, as the romans did, as many other cultures did. As we are presently doing. We can't definitively prove why, but given the knowledge of the cultural cycle as per Glubb and modern knowledge of the brain, especially narcissism and the amygdala, we can surmise that what happened then is the same thing that is happening now. We had a high culture, became decadent, and are presently spiraling down until one of the horsemen get us, and there is no realistic chance of stopping it. We know how to stop it on a purely technical level, but we don't want to for psychological reasons. So what does this all mean? Religion Matters. Which pisses me off as an atheist, but atheism also demands that we look at the world objectively. We killed god, and we are now paying the price.
