An "expected correction" doesn't involve Chinese scammers raising the price with ridiculously obvious cliff face rise candles and then the exact same volume being dumped at the top.  Why do shitcoiners try stupidly hard to avoid calling it what it is?  A Chinese pump and dump scam.

In my children's lifetimes ... Silver will be to worthless to try and use as a store of value.   There will simply be too much of it.   Already silver has lots of issues as a store of value.  Gold probably as more time left than silver as a store of value.   (Not that is really used for that anymore.)

Was $9K the top for a while? Kind of an ugly failure.....and now price has melted back into the previous range. Never a good sign. Maybe it's time to go back to $6K like masterluc was predicting.

I guess it was an expected correction, similar happened during the last cycle in 2015. You can't just keep going up, up, up, up, up without some pull backs. People take profits, all we’re doing is taking a breather.

Nothing to worry about, it’s maybe time to buy the dip.

Entirely as expected.  There were a lot of long positions and bullishness around (probably still are). Needs time and work to consolidate. A few months between 6.5 and 8.5k would not be surprising, and actually quite a positive.

The correction here will provide a good test. If 6.2k holds, and the range stays above 7k, that's a relatively small retrace for the move.

Only a break of 6k would be bad news . Timeframe July/Sep.  In the short run, a return above 8k is likely before any deeper dip.

Peter Schiff is a Jew so you can trust him about as far as you can throw him, but if there's one thing he's correct about he said a long time ago that as soon as the fed gives up the phony rate hike act and goes back to cutting again that metals are going to start their climb to the moon and never look back.  It took a LOT LONGER for that to happen than most people thought it would, but it has now happened.

It seem today's crash was triggered by activities of whales on coinbase. Traders shifted their position when there was movement of 25,000 bitcoin to coinbase, after dumping, there was another movement of 14000 bitcoins from coinbase to another wallet. Traders are just being cautious and we will likely see some recovery as soon as the fears of manipulation is over.

As may have said, the timing it for 100K (or whatever figure) is probably difficult.  

Once we are close to hitting a significant round number, most of us will be watching the charts and spending all the time glued to our screens and not interested in organising something in a hurry in any case.

Then there is location - it seems to boil down to 'which side of the pond'.

How about...  

1. Fix a date with a reasonable time ahead in tune with the halving cycle? I am not sure it needs to hit a target figure to work, and we can't organise price in advance anyway.

2. Fix it again (if successful and people want to repeat it) on a bi-annual(?) basis.

3. Maybe hold it in Europe and North America alternately - with the locals hosting it each time (and competing with the alternate, previously held one for the kudos).  Asia /Far east is not ruled out, but I am guessing the majority here are probably based in Europe / North America.

4. If it's a big do, I (personally) think partners probably ought to be accommodated for and thought of in terms of what is organised.
