ritish computer scientist Tim Berners-Lee published a proposal for a revolutionary idea which would connect other computer scientists as they went about their work. As he realised the potential of this creation, he decided to give it to the world for free – making him perhaps the greatest unsung hero in the history of the world.

Sigh. Lee wasn't that great. By this I mean there were other systems we were using on NeXTs and the like in the late 80's including Gohperspace, WAIS, Archie, and Veronica. What HTTP/Web brought to the picture was embedded images, which really allowed porn to take off.

And the rest was history.

I am not going to lie here. As a non-techy guy, I was pretty ignorant and, definitely not educated about this topic. I came to know about Mr. Lee's name yesterday when I saw his name in the tweet which I copy pasted but after quickly skimming his Bio. He is one gifted individual accompany by another pioneer Mr. McCahill ( Team lead of Gopher protocol ) I am sure there are more names in this list that I am not aware of. So far its all look interesting to me, I am still wrapping my head with technicalities though.

Chances are you already read or aware of this but I don't mind sharing with you.

Fall may not be Stephenson's best novel, but it might be his most Stephensonian.

At roughly 900 pages, it is a smorgasbord of acronyms and ideas, action and exposition, characters and subplots.

ps xhomex10 how are your Stephensonian studies coming along? Have you passed the Cert. Wafflology part yet?

If Paul Le Roux is really Satoshi, then Satoshi's wallet is in the hands of the CIA, and they probably already have the password, which could be obtained through torture.

An interesting realization I had is the fact that TrueCrypt FDE is only available through Windows even to this day in it's VeraCrypt form. By looking at the Bitcoin codebase you can tell satoshi was a so called "windows guy", he was compiling .exe only and Linux came way later. Paul used TrueCrypt and not dm-crypt, LUKS or any of the other Linux alternatives. So there is another connection. The list of coincidences I have is pretty good. Nobody is saying Paul is satoshi, it's just another decent contender in my book.

As far as bruteforcing, cascaded ciphers were added in 2004 so the encryption used by Paul probably has a combo of AES-Twofish-Serpent or something along the lines with AES-256 and a strong password which means I don't believe 10 years of bruteforcing is going to be enough (assuming CSW's farm is legit and has been working on it for 10 years which I doubt).

Good morning Bitcoinland. Geeze it's 8:30AM. What's happening to me? I used to be an "up at the crack of noon" kind of guy. Now I'm keeping farmers' hours. It's the GF's fault. She drags me off to bed earlier and wakes me up earlier every day.

I see we've fired another volley in the Great Siege of $4k... currently $8005USD/$10625CAD. The battle rages on.

Go Bitcoin go.

We are back to $8000 again, I was worried a bit when bitcoin stays longer below $8000, but no much selling this weekend, hoping for a bullish whole week again.

Communiqué, G20 Finance Ministers and Central bank Governors Meeting, Fukoka.(Jun.8-9,2019)

Quote
Technological innovations, including those underlying crypto-assets, can deliver significant benefits to the financial system and the broader economy. While crypto-assets do not pose a threat to global financial stability at this point, we remain vigilant to risks, including those related to consumer and investor protection, anti-money laundering (AML) and countering the financing of terrorism (CFT).

It's so quiet around here I figured I'd better post a Chartbuddy for auld lang syne.

There was a time when WO doldrums were measured in consecutive Chartbuddies.

Weekly close looks very ugly and points to a trend reversal.

We might revisit 6k range in the coming weeks/months.

We might and we might not, lol.

Im more on the bearish side right now.

65% going to 6k vs 35% going to 9k.

Im looking for a short entry here.

You still bearish, criptix?

Do you still assign a 65% chance that we will reach $6k before $9k?  or have your odds changed?

Did you enter a short, and if so was there a stoploss that got triggered?  Should be running tight stop losses, no?  Any margin trading "experts" want to chime in, here?
