The way things are feeling, the $9k threshold might serve as only a blip on the radar... and at least get us to the mid $9ks fairly quickly in order to begin eating away at any further resistance that might be present in the sub $10k arena.

When my net worth hits the magic trillion mark I will treat my 12 yr old Ford to one refurbed alloy. The other three can soldier on until the two trillion level.  

There's only one fancy car I'd fancy owning and I've already owned one many, many years ago.



They're now worth about 6-10x more than they once were so I may give it a miss and buy an 11 yr old Ford. Funnily enough the more affluent I get the less interesting any possession seems.

Oh yeah! 1964 Cobra with the 427. Quite the beast. Just doesn't seem to have the classic lines of the Jag, but a neat beast all the same.

How old am I? Way, way too old. When Hey Little Cobra was released I was just finishing my first overseas tour in the US Navy.

It's not easy taking a BIG ASS cut in your networth,

Truth you speak, young padowan - but with practice, easier it gets.

I will agree that if you have all of your basic  luxuries covered, then it is not as difficult to take a major cut in networth... which is kind of ensured through diversification - so that if the asset (bitcoin) goes to zero, you still have sufficient wealth in other assets.

Practice should facilitate getting to the point of sufficiently hedging for many people, but there are other people that do not seem to learn, a kind of compulsive gambler.  For years, I, personally, I have made considerable efforts to steer away from significant gambling or gambling temptations.

First time checking the price today niiiiiiiiiiiice! I didn’t expect such a nice pump, we are real close to VEGETA now, hopefully it tips over 9K whilst I sleep.
If we can get above 9K & find support then I think 10K won’t be long away.

Everything seems positive now, the bear market has long gone. Exciting times ahead my men!

Been a while since I've updated this. Bitcoin has established 11 doubling floors since 2012 at a starting price of $2.50. This time period probably captures most of the crowd still hanging around WO. Anyone here still hodling pre-$2.50 corn?

yup mined in 2011. still have some of those. when i started they were ~$10, went to ~$35 (woot!) then crashed to around $2 towards the end 0f 2011. but i still kept mining even at those prices. paid off big time later of course.


but i didnt discover WO till way later.

A true veteran. Takes some real cajones to hodl through all the ups and downs since then! Sounds like you're just enjoying the ride now.
