How come the amount of total coins for sale on Gox is still increasing?
People depositing new coins at gox, where else can you sell them this low?

Can Gox really afford to remain silent? This is all looks shady as fuck
That is what amazes me most. They don't care about any damage control whatsoever. If this was my company i'd update every 30 mins if needed. But Mark doesn't give a shit. Maybe they are seized by the FBI and are prevented by law to say anything.

I'm not sure what to make of all the reports of MtGox accounts being hacked, but it's possible MtGox could be experiencing something like the June 2011 HackCrash. The major difference this time is that there's a much broader deeper market outside of MtGox, and MtGox appears to be almost completely decoupled from the broader market. Very strange and interesting to watch.

Just witnessed a ~900 BTC buy spike on gox to which (inexplicably, for me at least) all the other markets reacted immediately. If we're still moving together with Gox on ups / downs, it means it's high time to wire all the fiat in there and buy the hell out of them cheap BTCs right about now.

Where exactly is the upside of holding btc now, except for if your btc is stuck on gox?
If you're on bitstamp and haven't sold yet I'm not sure what's going through your head
So, by extension, since it takes one hour to deposit BTC, your statement is equivalent to: If you're [holding bitcoin] and haven't sold yet I'm not sure what's going through your head.

not a very clever thought, at that. it would be very expensive to sell bitcoins at half off the market price. instead, they would be buying coins, not too quickly, but continuously, at these levels, and selling them on other exchanges. this would have the effect of pushing down the prices on other exchanges. or if they were really clever, they'd just be buying them cheaply on gox, and freezing them until summer.
Buy now and then sell in the summer for $100? That wouldn't be too clever if indeed the price goes down to $100.

[...] My picture of the typical Huobi client is a low or middle-class person, who does not understand English, has no programming knowledge, and keeps his bitcoins in his Huobi account. He cannot use bitcoins to pay for things in China and does not usually travel outside the country. Would he need to download the software and/or create a private wallet in order to open an account at Huobi?
Is this peer-revieewed science? Yes. His brain and his heart have both confirmed the findings.

Next week we'll work on "cow." The cow goes mooooooo.
in which language the cow goes mooooo ? English ? hahahahaah The varying onomatopoeia for animal noises across cultures is very interesting - for example while dogs in English go 'woof', in Korean (IRC) they go 'bow wow'. The noise for pigs varies quite dramatically too. Great. I come here for some insight and the discussion is on animal noises.
The never ending photos of bears and trains and rockets is more to your liking?
Just the rockets.

Well this is exactly the kind of sentiment that you usually see around a big reversal too. There has to be despair and kind of a hopeless feeling that there's no upside left and everything is going down to shit.
Exactly. Capitulation turns into despair. People like to say "buy when there's blood in the streets" as if it is an everyday occurrence but the thing is that in a real dive the blood in the street is also yours. It's no longer "where is the bottom" but "will there even be a bottom?" People get afraid to buy. It tests one's will to even hold, let alone buy.
