I'm pretty out of the loop...What's causing the falling price now, another Mtgox meltdown?

Well Bitcoin actually istn´t worth more than 50 bucks. It was held artificially high all the time, that´s all.
It will now grind slowly down.

Mark is far too busy getting his new identity and fake documents sorted - so that he can start his new life on frappachino island.

Maybe his next venture to help out the Bit-o-sphere is to start a Libertarian paradise called Frappachino Island. No regulations. All trade is in GoxBux and GoxBTC. There will be an obligatory Filipino/French dwarf named Tattoo in white tuxedo to announce arrivals of planes to the island.

Next week we'll work on "cow." The cow goes mooooooo.

in which language the cow goes mooooo ? English ? hahahahaah

Yes, English (U.S.), sorry. This is actually interesting. Can folks in other countries maybe post what cow sounds are in their language/country. Kinda neat, I think.
How about this, in Finland cow says "Ammuuu". Interesting truly.

So the people selling on Gox are most likely selling out of fear. They think it's going to 100, 10, 1 or zero. Have never been in the choo choo group but now is the time to HODL or even BYU if you have funds on Gox. This is crazy.

I'm not sure what to make of all the reports of MtGox accounts being hacked, but it's possible MtGox could be experiencing something like the June 2011 HackCrash.

Isn't this the time-honoured tradition of closing a Bitcoin business? Claim a hack and offer apologies that "someone" made off with all assets?

You would think it wouldn't have any effect. Aren't goxUSD just as impossible or more impossible to withdraw than goxBTC?  Huh

The varying onomatopoeia for animal noises across cultures is very interesting - for example while dogs in English go 'woof', in Korean (IRC) they go 'bow wow'.  The noise for pigs varies quite dramatically too.

Agreed. I wonder if in this case if size has anything to do with it. Dogs go "bow wow" in English in US too but it's usually the small noisy ones. Maybe this is my own bias since mine says "rowlf" when loud outside, and a low "woof" when she is inside saying "hey, i think i heard something..."

Polish dogs go "how how"

Icelandic dogs go 'voff voff'

Gox Bitcoin charts should be on a separate site under the title "Gox Shares"

Honestly that's a far more realistic way of putting it.

Though it is hardly the markets choice as the bot selling 300btc every 5-10 minutes has done the majority of the drop. It has been eating through all support and pushing lower and lower for like a week now. It is pretty much the "Kill Bitcoin/MtGox" death bot.

Everybody will agree that the chance of snake eyes at dice is 1/36, for example.  While diferent people will assign different probabilities to "a whale will fall from the sky into the Grand Canyon",  most will pick a very small number.

How are you feeling right now? Just out of interest.  Grin

I feel fine. I realized my investment last year. My interest leans more toward the protocol not price, which growth I find fascinating to watch.

I'm in spec thread for entertainment. It also occasionally in the past was good for early trading news. Now things break on Reddit it seems.
