I stopped reading your posts as closely once I determined you were mired not only in the same old beginner's misunderstandings but also lacked the will to research some basic things before spreading FUD. [...] It's so egregious a flaw in character that it makes me confident you have some other agenda, like the rest of the redonkulous bears here.
Suit yourself, but if you are not willing to read my posts please save yourself the trouble of commenting them.

Hello, I set my clock for 12AM JST, and woke up on the dot, jumped out of bed and loaded gox to see it crashing as expected, but with no news of downtime and none I can read on this thread, could some kind person from a different time zone or early waker or whatever PLZ EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENED WITH GOX RE: DOWNTIME.
Anyone? No kind soul will inform me? I'd help you out, but I don't get the question. You mean "site downtime"? Far as I know, gox has been up the entire time. If it's about the drop, I don't see where's the big surprise... it's not as if there something out of the usual happening since yesterday that didn't start almost 2 weeks ago. Or maybe I'm really not getting the question?

KeyserSoze, please don't get offended, but I think you're wrong about MP, and I think many on this forum let their linguistic sensibilities cloud their understanding.
No offense. I very well could be wrong. i just don't think one shady person calling others shady (which is the thrust of the link) is the compelling evidence Jorge thought it was when he linked to MP. I've been pulling for Gox through this silliness but Mark could easily be on the run as well. I'm as likely to be wrong as anyone else. The signs are certainly there that Gox is in trouble. Mark doesn't seem shady to me, he seems to have "risen to the level of his incompetence." That doesn't mean he's incompetent altogether, he's just bitten off more than he can chew it seems. This was OK when we had only one exchange. MP seems shady to me and that is completely different from incompetent. The troubles come from a different place.

I would have absolutely no surprise or remorse if something happened to him. This is people's livelihood he's messed with, for too long, and at this point - he deserves whatever's waiting for him

Lets get through the list - Completely fat, with black clothes that don't hide it - Bouncing around on a ball and living large in Tokyo - Treated his customers like shit for ? years - Drinks Frappachino's WITH CREAM as his daily drink so he could keel over at any point - No communication or respect to his customers as to why the price was 200 over, and now 400 below the other exchanges price - way to make money just dissapear - Blaming BTC protocol for problems that no other exchanges seem to have - I hate him, hate him hate him

In life when I bite off more than I can chew I step aside and hand the reins over to someone who might have a better chance of handling the situation. This way, I might learn something by watching how its done. I sure hope Mark is doing this.

You seem to have a short memory coupled with the fact Mark has yet to have done anything to warrant hate. He pointed out a flaw that nearly every exchange had to fix in their software. Perhaps he put the blame where it was not warranted.... perhaps. I see that things at Gox look odd but just imagine this: - Mark doesn't have special trading accounts or no-fee bots, etc. - Mark believes that malleability is a flaw in the protocol and stated his opinion - the crazy market at Gox is simply that, a free market, not internally manipulated - banks have been very strict with him after the US froze his Dwolla account causing all the reported fiat transfer issues. Stopping USD withdrawals is necessitated by the US not Mark. People are losing money and looking for someone to blame. Instead they should be thanking Mark for offering them the ability to trade BTC for the last @4 years.
