Observing BTC @12,070 USD.
Observing GOLD @1,502 USD. (highest point since April 2013)

Donald Trump sent Gold overshooting criticizing FED being too shy cutting rates (like 15 trln of negative yield bonds worldwide are not enough)

Some user would be celebrating for this move in Gold.
All other user know what bullish gold implies for their favourite asset and are celebrating too!

Peter Schiff must be having a stroke right now because of joy. From $1200 to $1500 in a couple of years man that's nearly %25 gains! What other financial instrument could give you such fat returns maan that's dope!  Grin

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

The ‘Vault’ Is Back: Coder Revives Plan to Shield Bitcoin Wallets from Theft

Quote
Basically, someone holding bitcoin primarily as a store of value could put it in cold storage, or hold it offline, with code that says it can be spent, but not immediately. The owner could set some pre-determined time delay on any attempt to move the coins. The fact that it has a built-in delay would give a true owner time to reverse a transaction if their private information had been compromised and someone tried to steal their crypto.

Quote
Malte Möser, Ittay Eyal, and Emin Gün Sirer proposed this feature, known as “vaults,” as a way to better secure bitcoin in 2016, but their proposal required a fork of the protocol codebase. That fork never happened.

But on Wednesday, Bitcoin Core contributor and crypto consultant Bryan Bishop sent out a design to developers to accomplish the same thing using existing code.

I like this.

Especially since it does not require a fork to be implemented.

That's cool, Coinbase has that functionality but of course it's a centralized exchange and you aren't in control of your keys. This looks to be the better solution.

Thanks JSRAW! I'll do my best to come back with nice stories and bits - food porn in Mic's honor, maybe. And you, please, mind your digests. We've got to the point where we depend on them...  Grin

Thanks fillippone, I just needed your nudge. Everything closed, 1.46% profit on the play stash. Could've been worse.  Cool

Thanks bitcoin, be a good girl. Or be a bad girl. We still love you either way, and you know it!

Forget about price checking every day and return with tales of adventures.  Enjoy.

It was interesting to learn than Schiff's dad, Irwin, died in prison 3 years ago as part of his protest/boycott on federal income tax. Talk about standing up for your beliefs! Peter is a bit soft and coddled in comparison... His net worth is only about what his dad owed in back income taxes.

Don’t worry about dumping below 12k guys. The price is going only one way in the next couple of years & that’s parabolic to the upside. What we’re seeing now is just whales playing & price discovery. At some point we’ll break up & they won’t be able to push us down.

Enjoy the show & try to buy every dip.

I think the recent drop of $400 was due to the news of binance the biggest exchange being hacked and customer kyc information is in the cloud now.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5173312

Shows a suspect victim's kyc/aml verification photo in this article with their face blurred out but can see the usual date and binance.com name in the background. Undecided

$20,000 not until after the halving I think. Not too bad though, I’m certain we’ll see six figures before 2022. It’s just a waiting game, kind of like putting our best lives on hold until this thing moons (which it will).

Keep smiling Bob.

Mounting recognition of Bitcoin as a safe-haven asset is being spurred by the relevance of its non-sovereign characteristics amid an unpredictable geopolitical backdrop. The coin is “doing exactly what it's designed for today,” cryptocurrency and blockchain lawyer Jake Chervinsky argued earlier this week.

Seems to tie in to what some folks here were discussing earlier.

That's from an old hack back in August last year. CZ confirmed this on Twitter earlier today
