China banning crypto is always a good laugh, lots of mining and patent applications.

It says blockchain patents. They even made a law that no one can call blockchain a scam or a fraud. Of course they will experiment with block chains greatly.

I made this chart on August 12th. This is the longterm chart.
On this chart we can clearly see that bitcoin likes the weekly 21 EMA line (the blue line). If bitcoin falls, It likes to bounce up on that line. Currently that line is around 8900 usd. The red line represents the long term trendline.

According to this chart the next btc cycle begins around 2nd March. The blue line is the weekly 21 EMA which very often shows you if it's the bull or the bear sentiment. I already told you about this line before and to watch the 8900 usd. Some big players are watching it and if it drops (closes candle) below the blue line they sell.

Why use 21 vs. 26 EMA? Or why not use DEMA? Just curious, don't really have experience in this area.

BTC weekly chart
I'm sorry guys but there won't be any official bull trend until the candle closes above the blue line (EMA 21) or the green trend line.
You also can't complain you were not warned before when we were still above the blue line. There was anomaly, it went to 10k in October because of the Snowden tweet. Which caused some unexpected things but besides that it's pretty clear. But that doesn't mean i won't buy any dips.  Wink

My TA indicates we are due for a bounce sometime next week which should challenge both the green line and blue line.  The much more difficult question is what happens once we get there.

edit: no wait, you're a sadist... not sure what that makes me.  Maybe V8 can shed some light?

No they were still a useful way to buy bitcoins with paypal until recently. I think paypal stopping working with them last January eventually led to the closure.
