Have to agree with Roger Vermin here -

@rogerkver
If YOU are worried about the coronavirus, YOU should self isolate.
Leave the rest of us alone.

Stupid argument considering world came to know about Covid-19 just recently. to give you one example seasonal flu has a history of thousands years.

You don't wanna get rid of aids. So, you wanna preserve it. He who does nothing abides. Why do you like aids? Why do you wanna keep it?

You'll have to do better than that Ibi.

I don't like many things, but we can't just round them up and shoot them out of existence.
Let's kill all the cancer patients too, why only HIV?

Is it clear that your narrative is total and utter bullshit now?

The short term price development looks weak. Like drifting lower slowly to a steeper and steeper plunge.

Hold your fiat ready...

Ready for what?

Shit is getting more than real in where I live.

Basic crap like body thermometers, Vitamin C pills, any brand immunity pills, I.V. Vitamin C, cologne, hand sanitizers, any kind of masks (not only n95's) are all out of stock. Impossible to find.

I don't even need to mention that hydroxychloroquine, azithromycin and oseltamivir are long gone from the shelves.

Even pastilles went out of stock. Those little candy-like useless crap.

See where I am getting at? Some people still don't realize the seriousness of the situation.

I have to go to work tomorrow. Let's see how long that'll go.

I'm not imagining things.

What I responded to that was, "yeah, let's put them in your house".
You then went off topic to say that, "I (me that is Ibi) loves aids".
I then extrapolated your dumbness to my final comment "let's shoot them all".

I'll try to use a simpler parathesis in the future, if it will help you understand things better.

i am already working at home for 2 weeks. After a frenzy on TP and other stuff, the situation in groceries stores has nomalised in terms of filled shelves. I have no experience with buying medicines and stuff but aspirin was in short supply when ordinary life got shut down.

If you live in The States, I can imagine things may be a bit rougher.

patience guys

just a matter of time

Those guys were my 1st pm purchase.
I switched to JM Bullion though, as they accept bitcoin. (Ampex did not, when I ordered, maybe they do now? idk)
All my PM's were purchased with air dropped bitcoin forks and shitcoin proceeds.
In hindsight, not a bad investment, albeit probably would be better off if I had held the bitcoin, but whatever.
Gotta diversify, doncha know.

^^^^^
Funny how the Average Joe couldn't have given a shit about PMs until this coronavirus hit.

I was buying PMs occasionally from 2015-2018 and the dealers couldn't give the metal away fast enough. Spot deals were plentiful.

FOMO is a hell of a drug...apparently.

Don't bet on it.
I think all of us understand the seriousness of at least ONE situation, some of us maybe more.

Which situation are you talking about? Vitamin C?

That's urban legend.
Most vodka is made from grain
Just as most gin is.

Today, most vodka is made from fermented grains such as sorghum, corn, rice, rye or wheat, though you can also use potatoes, fruits or even just sugar.

As for juniper,
Just flavoring added like
Fireball's cinnamon.

... now that enough people are finally taking this 'flu' seriously (except roger ver Roll Eyes Roll Eyes whoulda think eh?) let's see what it really could look like.

... so far I've restrained posting on the more usual pandemic outcomes even when mitigated correctly. If this thing goes bad it's going to go really fucking unbelievably bad. The second wave that may still be ahead of us is going to include all those carefree young bulletproof folks attending coronavirus parties that got a mild first round and now have exposed themselves to the possibility of a cytokine storm reaction to a 2nd strain in the future. Read on ...

https://www.history.com/news/spanish-flu-second-wave-resurgence

Quote
From September through November of 1918, the death rate from the Spanish flu skyrocketed. In the United States alone, 195,000 Americans died from the Spanish flu in just the month of October. And unlike a normal seasonal flu, which mostly claims victims among the very young and very old, the second wave of the Spanish flu exhibited what’s called a “W curve”—high numbers of deaths among the young and old, but also a huge spike in the middle composed of otherwise healthy 25- to 35-year-olds in the prime of their life.
...
Only decades later were scientists able explain the phenomenon now known as “cytokine explosion.” When the human body is being attacked by a virus, the immune system sends messenger proteins called cytokines to promote helpful inflammation. But some strains of the flu, particularly the H1N1 strain responsible for the Spanish flu outbreak, can trigger a dangerous immune overreaction in healthy individuals.
...
In those cases, the body is overloaded with cytokines leading to severe inflammation and the fatal buildup of fluid in the lungs.

British military doctors conducting autopsies on soldiers killed by this second wave of the Spanish flu described the heavy damage to the lungs as akin to the effects of chemical warfare.

Insane actually.
So insane, that McAfee's chances must have at least doubled recently.

Try to keep calm...try to remain strong folks..it will pass..eventually, and better days will come.

Curious how much of the recent price action has been due to a miner "war" (speculating)? The hash-rate has dropped 45% since the ATH - any thoughts on why?

It's simple, the average cost to mine a bitcoin is higher than the current price so miner's with a higher cost shut down.

It's not quite that simple, some will continue to mine and not sell the coin.  Some have hedged against the price drop by short selling so they can continue operation.

... currently there appear to be 8 very similar strains (only small mutations) circulating globally.
https://nextstrain.org/narratives/ncov/sit-rep/2020-03-27

It maybe that this virus is very stable and wont mutate into a significantly different strain naturally. What can happen in the laboratory setting is another story of course. The manmade potential is something not to be discounted, especially with the threat of a manmade strain unleashing the second wave.

The manmade potential is something not to be discounted, especially with the threat of a manmade strain unleashing the second wave.

That's also what I heard and read from different sources. They say the stability of the virus might be good for us because it will be easier to develop a vaccine but it takes damn long to make one.

The other bad news is, some people expected it to evolve into a less dangerous form. Actually any mutating would be the good news. Whether it evolves into a less dangerous or more dangerous it has its benefits.

If it becomes more fatal, it will be less contagious. If it becomes less dangerous it will be like any other flu. Win win.

Now we'll have to wait for a vaccine/medicine and its FDA approval.
