Some of their mates were shocked by the rise and wanted to by in on a dip. So they pick up the phone and say "mnuchin old pal get a little FUD out there for us, there's a board of directors position available if you do" It's just good old fashioned FUD nothing more nothing less. Coinbase CEO: Trump Administration May ‘Rush Out’ Burdensome Crypto Wallet Rules.. The Coinbase CEO took to Twitter Wednesday night to blast the U.S. Treasury Department’s rumored plans to attempt to track owners of self-hosted cryptocurrency wallets with an onerous set of data-collection requirements.
If the whispers are to be believed, outgoing Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin is preparing to tamp down on one of the fundamental tenets of the cryptocurrency ethos: the ability of the individual to hold their crypto (unmolested) themselves.
Was this the reason??? why is no one here talking about this? I read back 3 pages (fast)
When the CEO of Coinbase announces something like this, then it must provoke a reaction - and it seems that Trump and his administration plan to make as many stupid and harmful moves as possible before leaving their comfortable chairs in the White House. I just wonder why they waited so long if they had it in their plans, unless of course they were convinced they would win the election. Personally, I'm not surprised by anything that comes from the US - after all, it's the largest democracy in the world. It's just crap, they aren't going to do anything.

I'm not into conspiracy theories.. but the mnuchin crap right now looks more than just a coincidence. Why do every correction need a justification?? The corn was way overbought. Some traders wanted the profits and they unchained the sell off. Just in case the Mnuchin crap is real... Why dont they apply the same rules to CASH?? Like showing the remaining bills in your cash wallet when you purchase something at retail stores. And asking for detailed info on the seller. I should know who is the new owner of my paper note.

"Whose wallet are you sending your money too Mr. Mnuchin?" The farcical, failing, fiat monetary system never stops throwing up these vomit-worthy hypocrisies.

As some other WO wrote a couple of posts earlier, the rally was losing steam. Perfect time for traders to liquidate. Some reggae vibes in there. I like it.

In many places it is even criminal offense to burn them.

Dip buyers kicking ass and taking names. GayJuanGee sold at 16200 and is now crying salty cunt bear tears. https://twitter.com/100trillionUSD/status/1331884814102900737"The Netherlands implemented these laws 2 weeks ago. You now have to screenshot your wallet when withdrawing bitcoin from Dutch exchanges, easy but annoying. Make sure you vote people in power that protect property rights and bitcoin, and remove people who don't protect freedom." If these new regulations actually are imposed by Lame Duck Donald's henchmen then so what, its a nothing burger, just screen shot your wallet and call it a day.

It's the painted narrativ so the media can connect a few dots and ride the news. Just wait for CNN to pick up the news on the latest Bitcoin report, lol.

Here we go Bitcoin’s 12-year history has been peppered with vertiginous gains and equally sharp drops. It volatility has hampered use for payments and made many larger investors wary.
Backers hoped than in 2020 a more mature market and fewer retail investors have lowered the chances of the kind of crash that followed its 2017 bubble.
Traders cited for the drop the unwinding of highly leveraged positions built up as bitcoin approached its record, as well as tweets by the CEO of major cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase expressing concern at rumours of a regulatory crackdown. https://www.reuters.com/article/crypto-currency/bitcoin-leads-cryptocurrency-selloff-down-9-7-on-day-at-16-922-idINKBN2860SG#btfd

As long as there are whales, there will always be huge ups and downs. Bitcoin was invented to be fair decentralised money but in reality only the players changed. Only if all whales get wrecked, this can turn into a serious und usable payment method. Until then it's just a speculation objekt.
