Apple is now allowing crypto in Apple Pay.
Get ready for the next leg down then.

And how do you turn of updates again?
Found it, you have to change the register or something, but it's a step by step tutorial so I should be good even if I have no clue what I'm doing.

I forget all the steps I, but I've managed to completely shut off all Windows 10 updates on one of my main workstations, updates are installed manually. I run a separate VM that only has the default Windows 10, and that one automatically updates, but I run nothing much on it except maybe browsing mostly "safe" sites. It's essentially my own "Canary" for Windows updates.
Usually, instead of doing updates, I just download the latest Windows ISO. Can get it from Microsoft's website for free. Then I do a clean install and then add on all my other apps and stuff, then go through some more other stuff to disabled the updates. I believe you may need the Pro version and not the Home version.
I then lock down the whole config with one of my favorite apps called "Deep Freeze", which is like making the whole setup one giant VM which you can reset any time simply by rebooting the machine. There are probably other apps that do something similar, and of course you can use actual VM software like HyperV or VMWare and keep a snapshot, then revert to that anytime something weird happens or for any other reason.
And just because, I think I also changed my default time server to time.google.com and have it pull the time every 8 hours or so (about 3 times a day). By default, it gets it from time.windows.com and does it only once a week.
Once every few years, or probably every major version number, I would document everything I did from installation to "ready-to-use" and update that doc from time to time when installing new software. Usually it was something along the lines of:
1. install OS 2. download and install Firefox (or Chrome, or Brave, or all 3 of them... also include Tor Browser bundle). delete all bookmarks and configure whatever settings. default search engine to duckduckgo. 3. download and install GPG 4. Microsoft Office (yeah, I also tried open office and libre office, but I do have a legit MS office license from work and school, so I use that.) 5. do the time thing. 6. add a printer or scanner. 7. whatever other settings ...
And then most of my other apps are "portable", meaning they run from their own folders with their own shortcuts, like Bitcoin Core and Electrum.
For Windows 10 particularly, I've had this particular workstation up and running for up to 353 days at the longest between reboots (or updates.) The other Win10 VM updates every couple of weeks and restarts on it's own.
I did have a Windows 2012 R2 server running for about 2 years straight. The only reason it stopped was because I had to shut it down OR there was a power failure and I didn't have it set up with a UPS yet.

1 windows 10S is shite there are tons of videos on youtube that explain how to unlock full windows 10 in a few steps 2 You can delay windows updates by a month or so in advanced update and security settings (completely suppress it can be tricky as you may have to fiddle with registry) again many videos as it will be a pain for me to teach u that in english. Then again you're a big boy stop complaining and search, it's what internet is intended for, a ten years old can find those intels oh and install "classic shell" you'll thank me later. I will when I get my wifi back

Apparently this is how you do
Edit: Sorry, missed a bit
Disable updates
To disable Windows 10 updates permanently modifying the Registry, use these steps:
Open Start. Search for regedit and click the top result to launch the Registry Editor.
Navigate to the following path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows
Right-click the Windows (folder) key, select the New submenu, and then choose the Key option.
Name the new key WindowsUpdate and press Enter.
Right-click the newly created key, select the New submenu, and choose the Key option.
Name the new key AU and press Enter.
Right-click the AU key, select the New submenu, and choose the DWORD (32-bit) Value option.
Name the new key NoAutoUpdate and press Enter.
Double-click the newly created key and change its value from 0 to 1.
Click the OK button. Restart your computer.
After you complete the steps, Windows Update automatic updates will be disabled permanently. However, you will still be able to download updates as needed by clicking the Check for updates button on the Windows 10 update settings page.
If you want to undo the changes, you can use the same instructions outlined above, but on step No.4, right-click the WindowsUpdate key, select the Delete option, then reboot the computer to apply the settings. Limit updates
You can also use the Registry to configure the system settings to decide how Windows 10 receives updates.
To customize Windows Update settings to block updates with the Registry, use these steps:
Open Start. Search for regedit and click the top result to open the Registry Editor.
Navigate to the following path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows
Right-click the Windows (folder) key, select the New submenu, and choose the Key option.
Name the new key WindowsUpdate and press Enter.
Right-click the newly created key, select the New submenu, and choose the Key option.
Name the new key AU and press Enter.
Right-click the AU key, select the New submenu, and select the DWORD (32-bit) Value option.
Name the new key AUOptions and press Enter.
Double-click the newly created key and change the value (number only) to: 2 — Notify for download and auto install. 3 — Auto download and notify for install. 4 — Auto download and schedule the install. 5 — Allow local admin to choose settings. 7 — Auto Download, Notify to install, Notify to Restart.
These options work exactly like the Group Policy settings, and option number 2 is the closest to disable Windows Update on Windows 10 permanently.
Click the OK button. Restart your computer.
Once you complete the steps, cumulative updates will no longer download and install automatically. However, when a new update becomes available, you will find the option to install it manually from the Windows Update settings.
You can always use the same instructions to restore the original settings, but on step No. 4, right-click the WindowsUpdate key, select the Delete option and restart the device.e device.

I present to you, my friends, A Monday Morning Long post after getting all coffeed up...
[snip] Excellent post, merited. I only have one small nit to pick, this part, commonly misunderstood from Manfred Mann's, 'Blinded by the Light': Wrapping Up (like a deuce, another runner in the night?)
A Deuce is a nickname for a 1932 Ford, the King Daddy of hotrods for many years. The correct phrase is:
Revved up like a deuce Another runner in the night
I have heard that story... But then, I have heard Bruce Springsteen perform it (and he actually wrote it) and sing "Cut Loose". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjxbOe7p8C0Though the Manfred Mann version is way better. Yeah MANFRED MANN did it real justice.

It seems like the gods just wont let me run chitubox. It wouldent load om the old computer, and on my brand new win 10s laptop the laptop have decided to overrule it's human owner. "for security and...only Microsoft-verified apps is run in this windows mode. You still want to run this unverified app? Se how. And when you click that it tries to open a window, but since I'm offline it can't, and that's that. Who the hell gave Microsoft permission to tell me what to install on my computer? FUCK WINDOWS 10!!!
Seems like you've bought a laptop that came in safe mode. My wife's came that way and it's a pain in the ass and stupid. You have to have an MSN account to unlock it as an admin. I created a separate MSN account to do that and did not use that account on the computer, setting up a local admin account instead and then deleted it later. Edit: No, wait, I think you had to link the account to an MSN account which is why I made it temporary. Microsoft is determined to push their unpopular shit on people. Found a tutorial for that too, but still have to wait until my new laptop can get connected to the internet, I was going to learn chitubox in the mean time, I have everything, including the printer now, but can't use any of it because I can't open chitubox. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/switching-out-of-s-mode-in-windows-10-4f56d9be-99ec-6983-119f-031bfb28a307

Click below link to a whole thread. TL;DR historically we are severely undervalued atm: Putting it all together. We run a 2 year moving median of NVT Ratio, that gets us an estimate of the mid-line value also accounting for the drift upwards due to the missing exchange activity. Multiply this by the on-chain volume, and we get a fundamental network valuation. https://twitter.com/woonomic/status/1399644947565879304

Yes, below the mean but in the past this has also been followed by a bear market. So we still seem to be hanging on a thread between a 2013 scenario (new higher pop will come soon), a muddle through scenario (a long period sideways) and a bear market. Its low enough not to risk any short or sale (who shorts Bitcoin anyway besides Degens ... ) but not low enough for a massive buy. It’s just ... in between. But with every day passing in this region, the upside scenario becomes stronger IMHO. Zooming out, hanging around at $35k like nothing is already amazing.

[...] ... because of the Chinese genetically-engineered spike protein the sars-CoV2 virus RNA is unstable in the region coding the glycoprotein of the ACE2 receptor making it more susceptible to rapid mutation in that region of the RNA, then exposing it to evolutionary pressures in the human population of mRNA vaccinated that have a very specific response to that very same spike protein is going to put selective pressures on this virus towards an unknowable and potentially catastrophic outcome.
How does this translate to normal language? Biodom says we're fine, some genetically-engineered mice in the 70's they fiddled with were dozy and too slow too keep up ... and that's probably just like what will happen with this genetically-engineered, human-adapted bioweapons virus released from the Chinese Communist lab 45 years later. ... or it could be Pandora's box was opened and whole-population vaccination is just prepping the tinder for the final conflagration. That's not what I said at all, but if you don't want to listen, then it is on you.

Electric vehicle capable of mining Bitcoin announced. The Daymak Spiritus will be the first automobile capable of mining bitcoin, according to a news release by the automaker.
The patent pending technology would be the first of its kind, marking a major milestone in the innovation surrounding the bitcoin mining industry.
“Every Spiritus vehicle will be a node on the Blockchain, and will include Daymak Nebula Miner and Nebula Wallet,” states the release. The combination of technological advancement in the automobile, renewable energy, and bitcoin is an absolute testament to the extraordinary pace at which we are developing.
The release reads, “We envision a future where your highway tolls, your parking, and your drive-thru order will be paid directly on the fly with crypto.”
I personally believe that this is an admirable vision for the future, and is extremely bullish in terms of the level of innovation we can expect to see from the industry going forward. With a slight chagrin, we can look back at this previous post on Bitcoin Magazine, titled “What Does The Future Of Energy HODL,” an essay on the potential for Tesla to utilize its own renewable energy to mine bitcoin, and see that another automaker entirely has taken on this mission.
What is curious to ponder is whether or not other automakers will begin to feel pressure to implement this technology themselves, as those who become customers of bitcoin-mining capable vehicles literally profit from ownership. This breakthrough is a prime example of the incentive structures bitcoin presents, and is a perfect example of a response to energy fear, uncertainty and doubt.
