Yup. I still have it (my 1st computer), in its original box, in pristine condition, complete with the included "Horizons" cassette tape. Haven't powered it up for decades though, maybe the caps are all dried up now.

Two days ago (in Dutch): banks ban organisations based on their (political) opinion.
Yesterday (bloomberg.com): banks decide what OnlyFans can or can't show.

What's with banks wanting to decide how you can spend your money? I've read several similar stories lately, it's as if banks want their core business to be taken over by crypto!
Because in a way they are right, the money that you believe is in your account is not really yours and they think of it as belonging to them, recently I have been trying to close a bank account and after more than two weeks of trying I still have been unable to do it, think about it, the only thing the bank needs to do in order to close my account is to make a few clicks and the only thing they need to do in order to steal the money it is in that account is to make a few clicks as well, while I have to literally beg for them to close my account, who is in power? Who is in control? And it is obvious the answer is the bank.

And by the way we are not talking about a fortune here, I just want to close the account because I do not need it anymore and yet it is proving to be incredibly challenging.

However even if bitcoin doesn't take over their core business at least we should be happy that it exist, because cancel culture is becoming a thing very quickly and if they can reduce the use of cash to almost nothing then what is stopping the governments and banks from literally starving you to death by closing and freezing your accounts making you unable to buy anything just because you have different views than the ones they hold?

I am  fascinated do you have multiple accounts or a direct deposit or just one lone account.

Where is the helicopter? We need it NOW!

The helicopter will arrive when my Activity, Merits and Posts are all of equal value. And it is a Sunday. And more than ten haikus have been posted that day. This was forecast a long time ago.

Few understand this (including myself).

you are getting closer

Just one account in that bank, I use it mostly for buying a thing or two but nothing serious, this is why this is odd to me, if I was a big client I could get their desire to not lose my account but that is not the case, so I suppose this is just standard procedure at that bank.

We're getting so close to having a new poll!

Damned close.

Below is a snippet of the subject of what that Mallers tweet was about...... and yes, expanding the locations that have "free, instant, non-reversible remittances" is quite the current phenomena that is likely going to change a lot of monetary dynamics.. especially presuming that there is going to continue to be expansions of these available services.. whoaza...
