This is not really a fair one, considering that even econo seats back then had enough leg room and other perks to feel almost first class.  Grin

My example of the TV was very bad I admit, apologies.  Maybe consider an average laptop instead.  Airline seats can't argue with that....plus remember there wasnt a real security check...at all...before some event in 2001...that value is priceless
edit: we almost touched 50k...feeling deja vu from some other price point...was it 40k a while ago...we retreated 10% or so...then flew past 40k like it wasnt even there

Buying a Nintendo for $5 is a good example of why people are still willing to spend their bitcoin when they know the price will continue to go up.

If people are not willing to part with their money knowing that they can get the same product for less later on then why did anyone buy a Nintendo for $150 when they could have just waited and paid $5?

Why are people buying PS5s above retail value (current going price is about $700 while it is sold at stores for $400)?

time preference, maybe, if they can't find it for $400 readily.
I still did not buy 3080, though; albeit I would like to buy it, I won't pay 1.5-2x for it in principle.

I am skeptical, There is no black woman in the books and they are not action packed "war in space" type stories.
I will download some episodes ( I assume it's a series) for free when they are available on TPB to see if it's anything worth paying money for.

Edit: My favourite books too, and the first "real" sciFi books I read.

If people are not willing to part with their money knowing that they can get the same product for less later on then why did anyone buy a Nintendo for $150 when they could have just waited and paid $5?

Why are people buying PS5s above retail value (current going price is about $700 while it is sold at stores for $400)?

... there is another angle to this also, once people have a deflationary money to store their earnings in for future spending then they are motivated to buy products that last, quality items are preferred over inferior quality substitutes that burn-out, break, etc, i.e. cheap nasty stuff that gets disposed of readily ... because if you buy a product that serves a utility/function/pleasure for longer then your savings will buy more of that product (use/functionality) in the future

... inflationary currency changes the psychology of society at the individual level and mal-adjusted economic behaviour becomes endemic with massive piles of waste, land-fills piled up with one-time use junk that gets discarded plus many other examples of wasteful economic outcomes (and associated environmental degradation) also known as unsustainable practices in the modern jargon ... inflationary monetary economics as a cult has a lot to answer for but governments are it's biggest champion... go figure that one

Oh the good old times when you were actually a "passenger in a seat" and not just SLF (self loading freight) or SLC (self loading cattle) stacked up like Tetris blocks in a tiny alumunium tube which reminds more of some agoraphobia confrontation training than comfortable travelling.

jjg, you got it exactly backwards...as usual.

Oh gawd...  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I thought that we (of course Royal) were starting to make some progress with uie - poo-ie.

So you are saying that you have/had taken an aggressive stance to your BTC accumulation through the past about 7.5 years?

Not a whimpy stance?   Your proclamation of the "hypothetical" friend who lump sum invested and bought 20 BTC in 2015, sat on his ass and prayed for BTC to go to $10 million was just a hypothetical, and did not represent anyone you actually know?  especially not ur lil selfie?

O.k.  Maybe based on your own representations and whinenings, it is not fair for me to conclude that you ONLY lump sum invested into BTC in 2015.. and you have been buying BTC all along (on the BTC price dips, right?)- even during the many periods in which you had been suggesting that you were worried about more DOWNity in the BTC price that ended up not happening, which is not ONLY during your proclamation of a bearmarket in the lower $30ks about a month ago, but you also made a decent number of those kinds of DOWNity proclamations on a fairly regular basis when we were at $10k too, and other times you stated that you were preparing ur lil selfie for DOWNities that did not end up happening.  You were stocking up on BTC during those times that you were whining about more DOWNity right?

Sure sometimes DOWNities do end up happening but your implied story of supposedly being a Mr Tough BTC accumulator and ongoingly buying BTC (like a pro) just does not add up, especially given your level of ongoing and opportunistic whinenings when we do go up rather than down and frequently contrary to your various DOWNity proclamations along the way.

Maybe you need to 'splain ur selfie a wee bit MOAR better, no?  so that some of your words and actions make some more senses, perhaps?

This weekend, any chance?

There's gotta be a chance..

Ever heard of Jim Carey?

waiting btc $ 50k Grin

The battle for $50k seems to be ongoing, but sure, the trade volume does not seem to be very high, at least not so far.

So, as I type this post, within the past 20 minutes king daddy has gotten within $167 of negating such still existing pollening.

...and my 1st thought was "uh-oh,  jay must have got hacked! .... he never posts less than a page..."

this is Jay's shortest post I've ever seen

For a guy that has like 3 BTCiTcoins in his name, he sure does talk a lot... Smiley ... A F^'*KING LOT !!! Cheesy Cheesy

Without getting into too many particulars, it would be something like 0.21 BTC x 3.  In that regard, I have achieved about 3x of what a newbie would be aiming to get to in current times.  Helrow? have you heard of 7331, you turdtwat?

This weekend, any chance?

For sure bitcoin can give us weekend surprise by breaking up the $50k mark and waking up to see your portfolio consisting of bitcoin not any shitcoins increasing after that.The bitcoin $50k mark will be blow to the bears and pessimistic who can't stop it.

After crossing that mark and breaking up the dam of price barriers who can't hinder its growth the $100k is also not far away to come into btc fast flow.

Code:
 int btc{};
if (btc = $50k) {
         cout << " Hold and Enjoy";
} else {
   cout << "Hold and buy" << endl;
} Default : "Fuck the bears";

The chartbuudy is going to soon post for the same and just wait a little as we are at $49300 and only $700 are left to reach that price levels and we are not going back from here as engine is on ignition mode.
