.. and a flash crash to $57k then back upto $61k in a heartbeat. Many get their longs rekt and lose millions.

Seems like Proudhon nailed it... again!  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Math and science.

With proudhon's ridiculously bad predictions, I'd rather believe a drunken whore to tell me the future of Bitcoin.

Well yeah... but it seems like every time Llama Llama posts his repetitive math and science bitcoin going down..... blah blah etc, silliness, bitcoin pumps. And we all know he holds a boatload.
Think about it.....

A moment of silence for all the suckers who bought Shiba Inu at the top.

A doge wannabe shitcoin with zero value, no liquidity, and 549,095,509,738,353 circulating supply?

What's not to love?

Too bad the New Wealthy Gentlemen Elite thread is closed.

Feels like bitcoiners (and some crypto people) are assuredly about to become the new financial overlords.

Not sure if you're ready, but its happening.

I'm sure shiba inu will still go up ahead of listing on robinhood, there's still a 100% increase potential but I'm not sure if shiba will touch the price of 0.01 dollars.
the attention of traders is currently busy on shiba coins, save your shiba strong before regretting friends
That is the most it can ever reach according to it's creator in the whitepaper.
Imagine all it took was a picture from Elon showing his puppy of this kind of dog on his twitter feed to get it all going:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5367854

A brand new puppy dog pic so to pump up his own clone of it and call it Floki Inu. Cheesy
That's where the love is going to all the memes of the world.
A shot in London.

as well as everyone else in the same boat. cuz waiting for a charge at some charging station miles away from home just aint gonna happen.

And, of course, having a driveway of your own you can charge in is far from the rule in any case. A rarity in many cities.

never thought of those who only have on street parking. cables snaking everywhere.. not

i just cant see the existing power grid is gonna handle double (?) the power when everything (heat/transport) is electric.

now i do like electric stuff; i have a battery powered chainsaw, trimmer and week wacker for light yard stuff (with gas chainsaws and weedwacker for heavier stuff) and i love the near zero maintenance that electrics have. but once nearly all consumer stuff is electric.. is our grid gonna hold? no one seems to talk about that? or is our grid actually capable now and im worrying about nothing?

... it's a lot. Average personal EV annual use is estimated at ~ 4,000 kWh, average household annual electric use is well-known at ~ 10,000 kWh ... so not including commercial conversions.

Basically the whole electric grid needs to be scaled up by 50%, probably more including commercial transportation conversions.

So that's 50% more or bigger suburban transformers, copper cables, substations, transmission lines, power pylons and generation capacity (power stations) ... basic law of physics says more flow (joules)=bigger pipes(amps), so just the total copper volume alone will need to be increased by 50% of currently installed volume of copper in cabling, at least ... transformers, etc is additional.

It's okay if one or two houses on a block have EV's (those houses may need internal wiring upgrades also) ... anymore than that on the block then you're needing to upgrade local infrastructure, transformers, cables, etc, since every 10 EVs on the block is like another 4 new houses equivalent demand ... on an already full block with matched infrastructure capacity to demand

Most new consumer items probably won't tax the grid too much extra since we already have heavy hitters like AC (though California certainly ain't going to get ahead of the game and will just suck more). Electric cars are quite another step however. Probably the aim is that you'll just give up and use public transport; have nothing and be happy.

On chainsaws, I have an electric chainsaw. Unfortunately the chain gear was plastic and stripped and even though it's not that old, it's a "discontinued" item. It's that kind of crap where a real environmental difference could be made. I bought a rechargeable to replace it. It did the job but was overwhelmingly disappointing, even at 40V. I have a gas one in parts, it was got by the ethanol gas.

It's ok. Biden's Build Back Better plan pays for none of that.

Who says we need Wires? Or in general the Traditional way of producing/transporting Energy? Thats a thing of the Edison past.

Theres so many ways .

We dont need investors anymore. Its going to happen with or without them , they can keep their control-thirsty money Smiley.

Just like BTC

It's important to note the timings of the load too. EVs are going to be charged at night and most heavily in the period from 6pmish to 12amish which is a)when a lot of other load is already expected and b)likely to lead to complicated centrally controlled charging schedules (Look forward to waking to not enough charge for the day).

(Edit: I don't think that's a valid way to use the a,b thing but I'm gonna leave it).

... here's the trick, you buy the latest and greatest Smug_Mobile EV 2000 to virtue signal your green status

... then you put a 50 kW diesel genset in your backyard (with solar, wind, micro-hydro, basement lab cold fusion, etc if it works for ya) and grid-tie inverter, maybe some batteries, to keep yourself insulated from the socialist madness that's about to swamp the power/energy systems in the next decade

... or get a big cummins diesel pick-up truck that has electric power take off Wink and run over people with their faces glued to the motorway

Yes, the latter really happened. Crazy, but true.
