Seems like the market formed a double top. There may be a small dead cat bounce but after that it’s only down I’m afraid. Welcome to the next long crypto winter. You should sell everything & sit on the sidelines, ready to buy back sub $10,000 in 2023.

It was fun whilst it lasted but the top is in. Sell everything now before the long crypto winter engulfs you.

Seems like you have no clue what a double top is.
Hint: second top is lower than the first.
But hey, if you still believe in sub $10k prices, i just wish you HFSP  Roll Eyes

I'm in a kind of bad mood today. This is the nicest answer to this bullshit post that i could write up.

You are such a "nice guy" OOM...!!!!!!! #nohomo

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Yeah, i thought after this statement of yours for a moment.

I used to be cocky and really hurt people using words, mainly because of my social insecurity, in the majority of my past.
Short version of a long story: Life forced me to change. Additionally, nobody will ever hurt or insult me using words.

Of course, there was a bit of humor and probing intended with my response - and I do understand that some of us regularly attempt to employ tactics in order to NOT take certain matters personally, and with practice, we likely are able to become less reactionary and defensive as we had been in our youth.

At the same time, I will proclaim that it is going to be quite difficult for any of us who are actually humans to completely detach our lil selfies from emotions or even our second guessing the intentions of others when communications are directed at us or about us.  At best, we are attempting to manage and NOT be too reactive - but never completely getting rid of various urges to attempt to figure out if we had been slighted and if we might need to respond emotional to that.

In other words, not even this cat is a bot.

 Tongue Tongue Tongue

Just like BTC

How would a nocoiner know much if anything about BTC?  Just on the surface, there appears credibility problemas with anything that you say related to BTC.  Have you bought any yet, jorge?

By the way, I admit that I may have gotten a wee bit cccciiiiittttttteeeeeee in my earlier suggestion that we could witness a $10k or $20k UPpity candle in this here 24-hour period that ends in about 17.5 hours, but I will still stand by my suggestion that we are in a decently good posture for rapid UPpity, even if it does not happen in this particular short-term timeframe.

as well as everyone else in the same boat. cuz waiting for a charge at some charging station miles away from home just aint gonna happen.

And, of course, having a driveway of your own you can charge in is far from the rule in any case. A rarity in many cities.

never thought of those who only have on street parking. cables snaking everywhere.. not

i just cant see the existing power grid is gonna handle double (?) the power when everything (heat/transport) is electric.

now i do like electric stuff; i have a battery powered chainsaw, trimmer and week wacker for light yard stuff (with gas chainsaws and weedwacker for heavier stuff) and i love the near zero maintenance that electrics have. but once nearly all consumer stuff is electric.. is our grid gonna hold? no one seems to talk about that? or is our grid actually capable now and im worrying about nothing?

No it's not. I think the politicians got caught by surprise by how fast everything is suddenly moving towards "everything electric".

The Swedish grid, in the south where I live, is on the verge of collapsing already. The greens, who are in government with the soc. dem. have closed two nuclear reactors in the south, and there is not enough capacity in the cables to transfer enough from the north, where there is a surplus of hydro power.
On top of that the hydro dams are only half full because of lower than expected rainfall in the north. And it hasn't been very windy this summer either, so no help from the wind turbines.
Import of (expensive) electricity from continental Europe and Denmark has saved the situation so far, but now they too are running low.
One hard cold spell and it all might just crash.
I'm hoping for a mild winter, and during the coming summer I'm getting solar panels and a big battery, and a new and better wood burner and a big pile of fire wood.

I'm looking at this nice piece of wood burner.  https://www.qvesarum.se/produkter/kaminer-och-spisar/nytillverkade-kaminer-och-vedspisar/royal-viking-svart/

Edit:
When I first looked at that burner some five years ago it cost like 37000 SEK, now it's 50000 SEK, with this kind of inflation we will have people begging in the streets just to survive soon.
Well we already have people begging, but that's professional beggars from Romania and Bulgaria, I'm talking about Swedish low low income people.

Too bad the New Wealthy Gentlemen Elite thread is closed.

Feels like bitcoiners (and some crypto people) are assuredly about to become the new financial overlords.

Not sure if you're ready, but its happening.

Didn't know that thread was closed, that was my favourite thread before the WO.
When did that happen, and why?

America: Yes let's pump billions more into electric cars, and at the same time let our roads and bridges crumble into disrepair.   Roll Eyes

im wondering who is gonna pay for upgrading my electric service so that it can handle charging two EVs overnight to full charge. as my panel and service is already near capacity.

as well as everyone else in the same boat. cuz waiting for a charge at some charging station miles away from home just aint gonna happen.

That... Will be a problem. I will agree that it takes an insane amount of power to charge an electric car: My truck can charge at 2.2kw an hour which is about 6 miles of range per hour. A normal 30a 240 circuit can supply 6.6kw/hr or about 20 miles of charge per hour. That's pretty much common across all cars, be it my S10 truck or a Tesla.

Now you can go to a charge station and do Chamedo type charging or what Tesla calls Supercharger but that's 50kw service and about 100 miles per hour of charge. And even that damages Leaf batteries and probably even Tesla batteries over time (slower charge lasts longer).

The only other solution is a dump charger like a Tesla powerwall but man that will do a serious number on the pack.

Gasoline has an energy density that is just out of this world.

So does uranium, but people are huge pussies about anything radioactive. So we are looking for a way to get more energy out of sunshine and wind. Roll Eyes As I see it, the biggest player on the board   will be fusion energy.

It is much less of a problem than that description suggests. Almost nobody will need to charge two EVs from empty to full every day - that would imply two cars each driving c. 250-300 miles each per day - if we assume that’s done 5 days/week for 50 weeks of the year that is somewhere between 125-150,000 miles per year for two cars or about six to nine times the average! The reality is most EVs will be charged on a little and often basis.
