[...] Like the wallet resting against my left butt cheek, this only ever holds a small amount of sats (or dollars for the butt cheek one) [...]
wait, are pants back in vogue here now? or do you glue or otherwise secure your wallet to your butt?

We have an "ant pimple" bull...check out the daily...pimple forms, then erupts, causing a small local depression, then it repeats..ad nauseam.

It's OT but I thought to come share this useful service... Disposable emails. Simple, web based can receive AND send. Sending costs 100 sats, but receiving is free and unlimited. The perfect thing for validation emails etc. Having to pay a dime to send is a good thing too... cannot be used for spam, but you CAN send something if you absolutely need to. The Price? 1k sats. So a whole $1.25 a year. You pay with LIGHTNING. A PERFECT address to use with a service like: https://app.nokyc.cards (also a fun/interesting/useful idea. ) https://lnemail.netI have four of them now just because I liked the various random names i got. This one was irresistible: onyxlynx627@lnemail.net feel free to email me lol. Such a cool use for lightning. Thanks for sharing. Funny to see the cost to send an email is ~CA17¢ which was the actual cost to send domestic snail mail in Canada (up to 30g... it used to be up to 1oz but we went metric so they rounded) in the late 70's. One of my jobs was working at a convenience store where we also sold stamps (hence the "convenience" term) and I clearly remember when they jacked the price from 17¢ to 30¢ in the early 80's (Jan 1st, 1982) - so many otherwise pleasant individuals suddenly became angry while buying their stamps. Two phrases are forever etched in my memory, "At least they waited until after Christmas!" and "Well, I guess I won't be sending any Christmas cards this year!" ...but I digress; the reason I tell this story is to segue into hoping that the cost of sending an email via LIGHTNING goes to ~CA30¢ by Jan 1st, 2026. In case you don't want to do the math, that means bitcoin would be going for ~US$232k.

@MrNata - Some of these brainless OGs don't like people that buy spot Bitcoin ETFs. They don't seem to understand or appreciate that investors buying and hodling spot Bitcoin ETFs help reduce the supply and increase the price of BTC.

@ColinTCryptoIt's crazy but the path on this chart is STILL valid. I fully expect it to play out the rest of the way. Target is $140k-$150k once megaphone is breached to the upside. We're just getting some people selling at ATHs at usual, trying to break even and whatnot. I even called this move on the chart. Brace for the steepest leg of the bull run once we decisively make new ATHs. The next move up likely will blast off and not wait around any more. This will be where reality hits bears and many FOMO back into Bitcoin, realizing the bull run wasn't actually over yet. The steepest and most violent leg is coming up. https://x.com/colintcrypto/status/1976285934560662015Would be so happy if it plays out like this. Market Makers currently rugging the fuck out of the market, liquidating degen longs and shorts. I guess we stay patient, HODL and wait for the potentially final leg of this bull run.

When Bitcoin was at 1k, many said that it would beat 10k and others disagreed with those who said it would hit 10k, and yes it would beat 100k... And a long time I heard that Bitcoin would hit 100k....
Nowadays I'm starting to hear again that Bitcoin will hit 100k, but before the odds were great, nowadays these odds are getting smaller and smaller... - .. and I believe that this probability of bitcoin hitting 100k can reach zero

Hitting 100k again just means buy the dip. It happens I buy dip and still dca It does not happen I dca. My thoughts are focused on numbers like 500k or 1mill Not a retreat to 100k

But knowledge is useful. State chains introduce SOME trust. And the convienence and success rate of payments via WoS make the tradeoff worth it for me for small amounts. https://stacker.news/items/1251232I saw a kerfuffle about this on Twitter. My first thought was, "well isn't Bitcoin completely transparent anyway?" I understand that LN comes with some advantages in terms of privacy and these advantages are being lessened by the wallet tech. But it seems like a worthy tradeoff IMHO. I agree the trade-off is worth it to me but people aren't really aware of that trade-off and it's interesting because what's happening in the underlying wallet is some pretty interesting voodoo. I'm more excited that layer twos are reaching new levels of maturity because of this type of tech, even if the trade-offs can bring some negatives. On the exact opposite of this continuum would be cashu, which may be the most private way to use Bitcoin period, at least under the right circumstances, which would be a large, active mint that is extremely trustable. Because although that protocol affords you tremendous privacy, it also requires you to trust the mint, just like a bank, except for it can be a bank run by one person and you have no idea who they are. 😁 But as we're seeing, combinations of all this new cryptographic technology are going to lead to Bitcoin being used in ways that we could only dream of just a few years ago.
