Of course everyone would - but no-one was asked.

They must have looked and thought - "Jeez - look! That stupid MK left 200,000 behind just sitting there, and no-one with a decent suit on will go to jail for helping themselves.  We would be stupid not to go for this before anyone else does"

Cost of offer to receivers: minimal.  Result of success: control of assets instantly convertible into 90 million bucks.

becuae I banned my self from that joke's thread, I am going to post this here just for the laughs and giggles

The thread shows a poster example how one system would have performed during the downtrend of the past few months. The "track record" is impressive but we have to remember that I started from the data and honed the parameters with trial and error method to give the best results. In real world, spotting the downtrend correctly, guessing the parameters upfront, and executing without slippage would have diminished returns greatly.

I cannot sell my own signals because Bitstamp's average volume is BTC764 per hour. The system gives signals based on the last 2 hours market data and assumes that you can execute at the closing price. The signals are always in direction of the trend, so you will have to buy/sell quickly to avoid slippage, and your own actions cause more slippage. If I would use this, I want to allocate as many coins to it as possible, and that is less than I wanted. Sad

The configurable excelsheet is for sale for BTC5, including tutorial in skype chat.

so who will pay 5BTC for that ? it is very cheap, almost free  Cheesy

Yeah, what could possibly go wrong... a handcrafted volume change/candle size based (or something similarly naive) algo, backtested only on the recent month or two ("careful kids, it only works during downtrends!"), excluding fees and slippage in the calculation. Now on sale, for 5 BTC!

I really hope that whoever is inclined to spend that amount gets, say, waveaddict's newsletter instead, for a fraction of the price, and a multiple of the effect most likely Cheesy

Its a steal at this price.

For Rpietla of course Cheesy

Always good to have free adspace  Grin

Hey Rpi,

Let's play a role reversal. So, I'll be you and you can be everyone else.

So here we go.

Say Rpi, I have a great deal for you! Why don't you pay me $2500 a month, and I'll manage all your assets for you. So, you can just give me everything you own (I'll even let you keep the castle) and then I'll take everything you own + $2500 (so you'll have to borrow that I guess, since I'll already have everything you own) and for this, I will manage your assets. Not only that, but I will give you 80% of all the profits I make you. That means, you'll get to keep 80% of all the profits I make you! For free! For doing nothing. I do all the work for you.

Furthermore, you will not be subject to any temptations to spend any of your fortune (like say on another castle) because I will, for your benefit and also for FREE!, stipend out a small percentage of your 80% profits to you on a monthly basis to cover your current room and board. If you act before midnight tonight, I will also give you a $100/mo. cigar allowance. Also, for free! I do all the work.

As my final effort for you, I will also provide monthly charts and spreadsheets of my analysis of the market conditions which you can study for your own intellectual benefit. Another great service to you.

So we have a deal?

Once I sold an excelsheet for EUR 6,000... no, actually it was my friend, but he taught me how to do it. It had cost 500 to make it however. So we sold it to some other guys as well to cover the costs.

ADD: The graph was included in the price.

Needless to say, most of those "advantages" are killer disadvantages to most people (and to all governments, including highly democratic ones).  Like "there are no age requirements" --- guess who wanted those reqirements in the first place.

Others are demonstrably false or misleading, eg. "it is more difficult to be used as surveillance", "it can be used to resist corruption",  "it can be extremely hard to steal", "it allows movement across borders", ...

And, as usual, it says "bitcoin" when all those properties hold for any cryptocurrency with similar protocol, and many of the good ones hold even for cryptocurrencies with centralized management.

What color is the sky on your planet?
Quote
These properties did not exist before bitcoin. Some people would rightly point out that many of these properties can be duplicated. There is, however, one extremely important factor that separates bitcoin from any other digital coins on the horizon: the protective shell created by the network that prevents it from being hacked or commandeered.

The surprising part for me is that victims's lawyers support it. Do they know something we do not? Or have not learnt their lesson yet?

Er... I am a victim, and I don't.  Nor does my lawyer.  Does anyone know anyone who was actually consulted?

Edit: OK, not a massive loss, but a victim nonetheless.

I like the fact that it is an excelsheet not a bot or an algorithm...... you remind me of Rafik el khalifa who managed to fuck a billion dollar company that was built from ground because of his greed.

continue like this and you will end up at the known scammer list of Bitcoin land, except people know your identity, so they might come after you  Smiley

The news - on coin desk and such - make it sound as if there is an international coalition of Mt. Gox. victims who thinks this taking over is best for them.

But perhaps a couple of biggest holders want to divide these 200,000 BTC among them, at the cost of smaller holders like you ... Would be sad but at least would make some sense. I cannot make my mind around Gox victims suddenly wanting to invest in Mt. Gox instead of getting their portion of newly found 200,000 BTC. Settling with Gox's second in command before any real investigation started is a strange move, too Huh

You know what's funny?

For months we had a constant influx of good news (bad ones as well, of course, but that's another matter) but I mentally just blocked them out. I knew they just don't matter if the market isn't ready yet, so I didn't even bother with them. This is the first time in a long time I clicked and read a 'good news' item... so what does that mean?

Choo choo, maybe?

More likely, just means I'll buy in too early and see my net value drop :P

whats attractive about it is that they can recover all their lost funds over a few years

but its really risky, and if the guys plan is to reuse mtgox code and patch the security hole, then this WILL end in a GOXING

The sheet was full of data of course. Funny that people ridicule excelsheets, even though very often they are the absolutely easiest way to do some thing, and even when not, it is generally possible to do everything with Excel.

Just found out that the same parameters would have earned you 3.4x bitcoins between April and July, 2013..

Never underestimate the lucrativeness of scamming fools.
It's funny how people here are only now seeing you as a fraud.
But no worries! I bet there are still a lot of fools left who believe you. You just have to keep acting like an character from an Mexican soap opera (lots of talks about castles and cigars) and there will be always some get-rich-quick fool, who see you as an respectable businessman. If an inexperienced fool imagines how an businessman is like, then the outcome is a parody, just like you.

Just a reminder for the potential customers/investors/victims, that you are trying to fish out from this forum:
