I have developed my 2026-2028 plans..with not much happening in 2026 and most action scheduled for 2028.
IMHO, 2029 would NOT be the year of the market peak, this one is getting more or less clear.
I think 2026 will be the year we bottom, we haven’t bottomed yet.
2027 sideways chop, slight price increase.
2028 bull run with 2029 peak & then beginning of next bear market.
That would be way too conservative and kind of boring..same as before.
Here are my contrarian arguments:
1. We had an ATH before the halving in 2024- Mar 25 vs halving on April 19, 2024.
2. This trend should accelerate, imho, as people would have an earlier pricing in.
3. According to cyclists next peak would not exceed 189K (taking into consideration all of the prior trends and expecting them to continue-like halving of the % rise from the low in each cycle, etc.).
4. 130-140K in 2028 vs bird in the sky $189K in 2029 would make no difference to me considering 75-80% probability of #5-my guesstimate (59% on Poly, currently, and rising fast).
5. A party change likely occurs in 2028 in US (with the official change in Jan 2029). Everything points out to this as a likely outcome.
6. The new anti-bitcoin admin might start treating btc gains as a regular income (at the minimum; with up to 50% taxation in some states).
Something worse might happen too (congressional committees investigations, etc) and this will drastically reduce the chance of even getting to 189K in 2029 (albeit, we might get there in 2028).
7. Taxation overall would go through the roof as they would try to pay for the social programs that would be necessitated by the AI impact.
I conclude that selling around the halving (or at least before Nov 2028 elections) would be the right move...and because it would be the right move, people would start doing it earlier like that Summer 2025 a-hole who sold $9bil of btc because, well, he needed every penny of it and didn't want to wait until the eventual slightly higher October top that was predicted by the cyclists. Billion here, billion there, not a big deal
