This may have been a move by Jed to compel Ripple Labs to make him an offer. We'll see. Makes sense actually. He'd get more out of them than he ever could on the open market, even if he had kept quiet.

I am also bearish on LTC and DOGE. What do you think about Nxt? I am very bullish on that one. Aminorex don't you think that Proof of Stake is a much more valuable than privacy considering the launch of DarkWallet?
nxt is taking it to a whole new level. not just anony tx's but privicy levels.. also 2 fiat <> nxt exchanges adopting nxt into their system, point of sale system with 3d printable terminals will be used with one, the asset exchange is going to become the first decentralised high speed trading platform where you trade real coins,, not iou's, but real coins, by depositing to multigateway's (decentralised escrow service not controlled by any third party or central body). automated transactions(turing complete) will most likely be implemented long before ethereum and transparent forging has had another major mile stone reached on the way to instant transactions at 1000 tx's per second. many many MANY other huge developments in the works. if you guys arent extremely bullish on nxt. go read up about it! numerous companies being built on top of nxt including decentralised encrypted messaging app(nxt mobile applications company) and decentralised encrypted email. https://nxtforum.org/

I actually think Ripple/XRP is a better system and will eventually overtake Bitcoin. However, that's 2-3 years away.
If Ripple Labs doesn't buy out Jed and he really does crash the market, I'll scoop up some XRP.

Satoshi wouldn't sell... he'd give them away I'm hoping he'll publically destroy them (send to invalid address) Why do that, when he could distribute them to the poorest people on earth? Because destroying them is the fairest thing to do, this would divide the wealth over current holders of Bitcoin, those people that took the risk in the first place. Randomly giving them to a certain group of people who did nothing to deserve that is completely and utterly unfair. I like to believe Satoshi shares my view on fairness

And Satoshi actually mined his crap instead of just awarding it to himself (granted there wasn't a huge difference in the early days).

I like to believe Satoshi shares my view on fairness I guess it would depend on your view of fair... I think it would be fair to redistribute some wealth to some of the poorest people in the world (they can't all help that they don't know about bitcoin)... I think that's what bitcoin is all about, at some level.

There will always be an argument against it) and therefore doing so will result in the opposite effect. The reason I jump on this so much is the damn socialistic parties in my country who can't seem to understand the difference between "fair" and "equal" and therefore think it's fair to rob people.

I'm still very disappointed if he does what freebit suggests.

Difficult decision, sure, but who knows what the future holds when all you need to receive bitcoin is a mobile phone number, get a list of every number in the poorest places on earth and send them. I'm not saying I'd know how to do that, but I didn't create bitcoin...

I'm putting what will be the future. Bitstamp adopted it, Fidor Bank adopted it, soon Kraken and Itbit and people are still doubting there is something interesting behind ripple ?
It is not a "get rich conspiracy blabla" and this is not centralized. It will take time for people to admit it but this is the truth.
Tell that to the Ripple founder, Jed McCaleb who just decided to SELL SELL SELL. Shit. The only credible competitor to Bitcoin. Just up and died. RIP ple
