We are witnessing the exodus of coins from chinese exchanges before they finally get shut down for good.

*edit*

Fueled by foreigners who cannot withdraw fiat because they do not have chinese bank accounts.

Glad to witness some insight in this wretched place.

If this were true then this wouldn't be lead by Stamp. You'd be getting a Gox effect in Huobi, OKCoin, etc. That's not what's happening.

Well, I hope this continues. Price only has to go to $3000.00 USD to break even on my $12k investment between buying in Feb/March and investing in mining gear.

Ha.  Cry

Well you could invest in ltc.  If ltc is 10 now and you think it has a better chance of getting to 100 vs. btc going to 3k, make your bet.
or just day trade or something.

Already done.

I wish I had the time for day trading, but do not.

Lost $10k so far. Sucks.

Ouch.

Don't worry, the price will be $6,485.5559 in a year. Wink

Stay the fuck away from LTC, IMHO.

HODL. And keep on mining. Although I stopped my miner 3 weeks ago, since it's not profitable enough for me atm.

Better graph of the breakout:

This line just shows how meaningless all the line drawing is Smiley

Maybe you should try with more points touching your "lines" to have some basic trenlines.

So you can then watch the log trendline being broken while you PRESS PLAY and enjoy Cheesy

Good stuff, I Favorited your chart. Please keep it updated also with comments as your chart analysis skills are better than mine.

Ltc is 10+ right now.  If it goes back to 30, thats triple your investment.  If the guy I originally replied to wanted to make his capital back, Ltc might have a better shot of tripling to 30 vs bitcoin to 1500.
Not saying it will, but it can.  or if he feels more comfortable with btc, its up to him.

Bought very little LTC and sold half of it during Huobi pump.

I have always held, but unwisely spent BTC on mining gear, when it was like $700.00.

Now it will never ROI, and I have 1/10 of investment rather than 1/2.

Yes be wary of LTC, it hasnt got much going for it anymore and one of the pools has also been flickering around 50% has rate for a few days as well.

I think thats one of the reasons people are being timid as normally it follows bitcoins rallies.

can someone tell me what just happened?

Karpeles made an appearance on Oprah earlier today and pulled the private keys for 600k coins out of his ass.

One at a time.

Dont be so dramatic.  There was only ever one.  Shocked

I think when those kncminer (I know kncminer is going through some shit now but they might fix it in a few months, not saying that they will or anything), viper and other scrypt miners hit the market,

I think more people will help grow the scrypt coins and the price will rise.  Ltc could very well triple in a few months (Of course btc might be a better ROI but who knows)

A million billion alts. Some of them have sexier features and more enthusiasm behind them. Then again perhaps LTC is the grand old man that'll stay standing once all the others are dust.

Well, besides from the sheer number of alts some of the new ones (drk, monero etc) have got real world useful features. LTC apart from its second mover advantage only has faster block times which is now included in a huge amounts of alts.

Whats the advantage of LTC over an alt thats faster and anon?

None! Dark's anonymity feature is getting better with updates too.

I read a few things on darkcoin and seems to be growning.  Ltc does has the 2nd largest market cap (300+ million and is on huobi).  I think its has a good community.  It is basically an alternative (easier mining....until the knc and viper and other scypt miners hit the scene)
Also, look at dogecoin.  It has unlimited market supply and is doing relatively well because of the community that supports it.

so I think its all about the supporting community that will make ltc succeed

I was beginning to think that the one thing that could kill bitcoin would be boredom.

Good to see the patient still has a pulse Smiley

You people need to look at the past and realize that congestions are always followed by large moves once the scale is tipped.
Not that hard, is it? Yet it always happens the same, because in humans, emotion drives reason and seldomly the other way around.

And of course, there are the "why did the price surge? any news? what happened? what about china?" cries. Because it couldn't be that price has a will of its own, as a manifestation of the consciousness of people around the world, and that there are some triggers that will incite movement. Nah, must be some NEWS.
