So, does anyone know who decided to buy: China, or the West?
it must have been China, we would be at 50$ without anyway

it must have been China, we would be at 50$ without anyway I think its china. Fiatleak is going apeshit. Its been like 23 min and already 4100+ and counting is moving on there. (I know fiatleak is mainly bs since no fees so can look a certain way) usually its 500-1200 per hour (on an average day)

I was watching the charts unusually closely for almost all of these latest surges (I've been ill) and they all seemed to start at the exchanges you're calling "the West". Huobi had intermittent bursts of reluctance with the usual sell-offs we're used to seeing being met by fairly aggressive bids. There was a fun moment this morning where Huobi clearly wanted to go down but Bitstamp wasn't having any of it. Eventually Huobi got the message and jumped on board. I know this may fly in the face of your hypothesis that the last boom was entirely about China but there ya go. I'm sure you'll find another way to monger some doom nonetheless. P.S. Take a look at the recent history of short positions at Bitfinex - that's quite telling IMHO.

I only use fiatleak just to watch an average of what is pushed per hour. You are probably correct about the volume. I would only base it on huobi (bitcoinwisdom) but its very close to stamp so only fiatleak gives me some more info.

It is a great time to flip some extra BTC into LTC...the ratio is lower than I have seen in a long time. I have had really good success in flipping these back and forth. Ultimately holding much more BTC is better IMO, but hedging with some LTC never hurts...

It looks like the Bitfinex wall (also around 2k) was eaten or partially eaten. I see a surge in volume on Bitfinex to 2.2k on the 1h candles.
