As the price of these coins are the most important thing this year (considering it's the only thing people talked about the last 10 days) the price will go down or up by huge amounts when we know the outcome, right?
Right?
What do you think the chances we even find out the outcome are?

In my view, chances are low that we will find out for all 10 blocks in a relevant timeframe (a week or two). It'll probably be just a stupid rumor/wishing war on both fronts. For something that is a drop in the bucket: a week worth of mining supply.

What do you think the chances we even find out the outcome are? Personally, I think they are low. It's a closed auction. I don't think any official channel (government) will release anything. And I wouldn't be surprised if the bidders have to seal their lips based on some terms of the auction. No experience here obviously, but that is what my gut is telling me.

Pretty easy to weed out fake claims.

Who is this guy anyway? I can't imagine he's serious with a statement like that...
......... Look, you can market buy 3000 coins right now on Bitfinex with a top price of $632. Remind me again why someone would pay $1800 for a single lot? Yeah, that doesn't sound like a nutter/cultist at all.... lol would you sent that kind of money (any money) to this address: Room 1601, 16th Floor, The Sun's Group Centre, 200 Gloucester Rd, Hong KongIts the virtual office address for Bitfinex. To my knowledge it is run from some garage somewhere in France and its doggy as Seems as the world is ready for the next goxing

Maybe -- I think the auction in the first place was a good chance to FUD the price down. Now we recover and then some. When you get past the miniscule amount of coins at stake here, the auction news is quite bullish. Government stamp of approval, whale investors and all that.

We are in the dark ages of Bitcoin right now. We haven't hit the age of enlightenment yet. I think it is q3 next year before we see serious positive developments. I am only holding though

I am only holding though On the short term I am actually bearish. Price action is sleeping right now though. Tempted to get my coins back with small profit now, but I think we could dip to the 570-580 area before the auction is no longer hanging over our heads. I don't know about a big bull run, but I see some upside here.

Not important. More important is that the market has been in complete fear for 2 weeks. That more coins were dumped than there are sold on the auction. Out of fear that those coins might be dumped. Find a non important event. Create fear. Dump every day. Do this as long as possible. Once it's over don't care about it anyway. Find next event. Repeat.

He's not a real trading expert like Warren Buffet. Warren Buffet doesn't know smack about trading. He knows about value investment. If his mind was not from the Cretaceous, he would own Bitcoin, but not to sell it.

You will find out on Tuesday when EBay auctions off 3000 genuine, U.S. certified, Silk Road (TM) Bitcoins as collectibles for $2400 each. A critical cultural artifact, a piece of history, which will retain elevated value even after the sun becomes a red dwarf. I know that I would be tempted to pay 4 BTC for such an artifact. Ideally, one which is tracable by the shortest possible path to the earliest possible block reward. If I was the seller, I would insure the buyer against loss or damage, at face value + 25%.

I can't imagine they could be come to worth 4x the value of a bitcoin -- after all, they are..... bitcoins -- but to each his own.

I imagine that by the time the sun is a red dwarf, if they are worth 1% more than 1 BTC, the gain in value is quite enormous. That kind of wealth preservation is hard, very hard, to find. The art market is quite volatile. It's easy to make or lose a fortune on Cremonese violins or Faberge eggs. Easy to lose, if you have a forced sale. Easy to win, if you have infinite patience.

At this point, if you're that bullish on bitcoin, you could put those extra $$ into buying more bitcoin. Seems pointless to me, but I've never been into collecting things so much.
