Bancor isnt dead at all. Just because your BNT token value didnt rise like on other projects, doesnt mean that the project is not developing. The Bancor team is constantly working, and developing the platform and the ecosystem is growing. More partnerships and so on. We knew from the start that this project was about the long tail of crypto and not about a quick buck.

I think the recent rise in price is due to the ETH price surge, its not because people started buying a lot of BNT, but $10 is reasonable in mid/ long term I guess. Although I dont think that we will see it happening when other alts take off, because Bancor stays for sustainable, organic growth. But we will see, everything is possible in crypto!

Hi Upcomingdiamondinvestor, in general it definitely is a good time to buy Bancor (BNT) because its traded still heavily under the ICO price (ICO price was: 0.01 ETH per BNT), so if you buy now you definitely make a good deal! But on the other hand, the price rose a little bit in the last days, so one can speculate that it will come down again. When and if this will happen, nobody can tell. I personally wouldnt bet on anything related to Bitcoinforks (as it seems there is one every month nowadays anyways). So if you ask me, its a good time to buy BNT, Bancor got a long way ahead on its journey!

In general, it is next to impossible to time these markets. There is definitely a tail wind for Bitcoin though, in the form of CME futures. However, those would likely also take time - for example, it may take a year or so before the larger banks move in on those derivative products. Also, since they are derivatives, large banks can gain exposure to price both ways, i.e. it is now a good way to short Bitcoin. The effect on BTC price itself is very complex. It is even more complex on how this would affect the price of other cryptos. So I'd say if you want to buy, since the price is near the ico price already, just dollar average into it over the next few months. Good luck!

This is definitely true. A working product is the only way a project has a future in this space, especially with all those ICO's being conducted on mere ideas. As for BNT's price one always should keep the ETH price in mind though, not the dollar value. We are still way under the ICO price here, so there should be a lot of growth potential for Bancor, although the market cap is high already.

I think that's the trouble with ICOs so far though. Very few of them actually beat ETH. Many who invest in ICOs are otherwise ETH investors, which means, in general, they are missing out on gains. Bancor is one of the candidates I wouldn't be surprised to see change that dynamic, but it still needs to prove itself by supporting ICOs that perform well in the real world, not just in raising money at the ICO. That might take a few years.

It has been couple of weeks since BNT is sustaining prices in current range. This is highly active market so can't remain flat and ups & downs is normal thing. Give it little more time and expect the results in other few months. Crypto in general is in wait and see period anyway.
