I have all my coins in on an online trading site (paxful) (low volume)
I plan on making a large investment very soon, and want to safely store all of my coins I.E I basically want to drop a couple thousand, and keep them in the safest possible way, where I can revisit them in 5-10 years or so and reap the benefits, or cry about the loss.
What is the best way to do this, and what's the best way of ensuring a backup?
How do you currently store your coins
thanks in advance for any inputs
Right now I use the blockchain and swallow wallets, because I do not trade with large numbers but I just need it for capital, and I keep it safely as much as I can, after I receive the bitcoin, I will make a useful capital.

All my coins exist on the exchange, and although there are local wallets, I always think it is safer to have exchanges than to own local wallets, because they will save bitcoin better than us.

That depends on your evaluation but in general it's safer to hold your own private key and you are the only one who can access it. Saving in a trading sites has a big risk because they are vulnerable to hacking.

I also use it. but in this case, I use Electrum as my bitcoin storage. well, I feel comfortable using Electrum as a bitcoin storage place, and until now there has been no problem in that.

I keep my bitcoin in my wallet, actually everyone doesn't keep their all bitcoin in their wallet, some bitcoin should be transferred into the real money. Because keeping all bitcoin in the wallet is risky, I think everyone should follow this.

I keep most of my coins in online wallets but for ETH i have myetherwallet. Blockchain for me is a good wallet that is safe and easy to use. I have also offline wallets.
I also keep them safe by not installing weird files.

You can keep your bitcoins if you an online wallet. An online wallet is a kind of wallet that can keep your bitcoin or other kind of money. If you want a sure online wallet I suggest to you to try blockchain wallet. It is a world wide wallet because many people using it. And here in my country the famous wallet is coins.ph the admins of this are very active.

If you want to keep your bitcoin in a good way, I suggest to you to keep it in a online wallet. You can see it in a playstore or search what is the best bitcoin wallet. Or ask someone who have many bitcoin and I sure that he/she have a bitcoin wallet. And if you have now a bitcoin wallet, make sure that you're the only one who knows the pin code, email, or password your wallet.

Actually I don't have any bitcoin yet but I have a good plan for me to keep my bitcoins. First I will just strive hard to get those and save them. If I need to buy something I'm going to use but as long as I don't need something, I will save it and wait for higher price.

I have 2 bitcoin wallets just like the concept of backing up. So whatever circumstances may happened to one of my wallets, i still have the other one. So in my humble opinion, never put your bitcoins in a single wallet only because if you're unlucky enough that it will be hacked, then everything is lost.

If you want to secure your bitcoins, the best way you can do is to keep it in trusted exchanger like bittrex. I got a benefit when I keep it bittrex, I earn free bitcoin cash when I store in bittrex after the segwit.

I use Electrum desktop wallet which is safe and secure and very lite to use, before this i was using online coinbase wallet which is also secure but you dont have control over the wallet and they are banning users account which is using in gambling. so desktop wallet is free to use in any way.

Same with me, I keep my Bitcoin in my trusted wallet where I'll be confident enough to keep and hold it for a long time. And I'll assure that my account is confidently secure so it will not be prone to be hacked.

Bitcoin should be kept in a safe wallet and not on virtual wallets because virtual wallets are not good since they are online and can be hacked and that can be a reason for you to lose your bitcoin and it is better to have a desktop wallet rather than a virtual wallet and you should use your bitcoin on necessities only.
