Can we please get some updates on what is happening to this currency other than attempts to get it onto more exchanges.....

Whilst that's important, more important is what is the schedule for testing, rollouts etc..

I cannot see any real work being done for a long time on the code except some small security fixes.

Is there a plan? What is planned? How it is progressing? Who is doing what?

Is there a schedule? any Deadlines?

Sorry, the idea sounds great, but the value of the currency is falling to zero again, it's basically only traded on 2 exchanges, BTER and a little Exchange in Thailand, neither of which are the most stable of exchanges.


What I'm saying is, it would be nice to see some planning, and more openness on what if anything is progressing.

The way it looks now, the value is dropping to nothing, Exchanges are not taking it on, and there appears to be no real work or even plan in place on how this currency is going to go forward....

What's currently missing is promotion, but it doesn't make sense to do it without first having good exchanges, otherwise the people we reach will think this is a small and worthless coin.
It's not that we don't have a plan, it's that there are clear priorities: exchanges => promotion => new features.

And promotion, of course.
I've looked of some rewievs from 2014 to today, a lot of interest from community, no negative feedback at all. Just google it, and you will see.
And dispite that.... nothing. Just silence. And still is an unique concept.
And interest from people like me, with few money (couple thousands), and manipulated on china's exchanges with millions, and now china is gone.
I have not lost money with xcn, i've gained, and i've come to like this coin, for his improvements to the ecosystem.
So, waht's next?

pallas you need to relax, no need to worry about those exchanges or promotions. Buy support will be there when the time is right, it just needs this normal cryptocycle to mature.

We made it into the development branch of the bisq exchange.
Seems like we're on track to be included in the next major release. Keeping fingers crossed.

Neither is NovaExchange but XCN is traded there.

It would be a boost to be on Bisq.  (That actually sounds like a jingle   )

Yes, especially as I think that we have a great candidate to become one of their base currencies. All we need for that is enough volume. That would surely boost us AND provide bisq with a great coin to handle lots and lots of txs. The combination seems ideal to me.

We'll see where it goes. I for my part have been doing some advertising over there. I hope the chinese pick up on it as that's a confirmed target market for bisq. The devs are currently looking into ways to get around the GFW and it seems like there are some to adjust their TOR implementation to be able to do so. That would boost bisq a lot and if we are on board by then, it should boost us too given our history of popularity over there.

I think the next release is planned in about 2 weeks. I'll keep you all posted.
Once it goes live, we should add bisq to our list of exchanges and also promote the new exchange so our trading activities can start to grow again.

They read:

I had a look at the coinbase account and it seems to be fine.
Probably an issue with the php code of the explorer itself, will need to look into it.

Thanks! But it wasn't too much work, to be honest. If you look at the github commit from my earlier post, it was mostly copy&paste of some other alt coin's validator code and adjusting to our needs. Understanding what's going on there is what took the longest.

My motivation for all this is two-fold:
1. I want society to end up with fair, debt-free money (FIAT obviously isn't). And for that we need a similar coin to bitcoin, but truly scalable -> XCN. (Maybe with some more privacy features in the long run ...)
2. As XCN is my first crypto experience so far (I don't have any other coins), I'm hoping to make a little profit along the way by running a small miner (single gpu).

I'm thinking about creating a pool but I'm afraid that my server is bogged down by DDoS attacks, so came up with this idea (to cover a pool node of servers Telegram)

i think bot may be interesting but later. pools is a good idea, there is now normally working pools.
