If we just look at the l3 cache then we can utilize all 16 threads for the new Ryzen 7 3700x.
Just this is a big deal, means we can go from 8 threads mining to all 16 threads eg we will get "same" hashrates as the threadripper = 1khs+ Then ofcourse we have the higher clocks , the ipc and all that good stuff. All this in a 65w TDP cpu.
Also we have monero and the RandomX alghorithm which sure will be inzane for these cpus. Im hyped!
With all its advantages, the price is expected $399 Or 4,44 XMR How long will it take him to mining so much monero? How justified is buying processors specifically for mining? In order to make money, it is better to buy monero or bitcoin for this money right away? This is a more win-win option. its 329 USD for the 3700x Ofcourse you can mine alot of other coins then just monero with ur cpu, the thing with cpu is that you need one for your rig so why not use it for mining.. But if we go RandomX as in monero update you can see this will be godlike for cpus. And your cpu will have a good chance to pay for itself rather then a cheap celeron/pentium.

Looks good for cryptonight. The're also releasing a Ryzen 9 series with up to 16 cores, 32 threads and 72 MB cache, enough to run a full 32 threads of cryptonight with room to spare. The R9 still uses 2 channel memory where the next bottleneck is. Need Threadripper to get 4 channels. Hoping for some AVX2 improvements but haven't heard of any. The 3000G series is an interesting curiosity, boasting the "most powerful graphics" on a desktop CPU. assuming it's Radeon based it should be possible to mine with it. It might be a good choice for a GPU rig to add a little extra hash for about the same price as an equivalent Intel CPU. From a feature perspective AMD already beat Intel with SHA on the first gen Ryzens, and they closed the gap with the addition of AVX2 capability if not AVX2 performance. AMD caught up with Intel with gen1 Ryzen and is now pulling ahead while Intel continues delay its next generation architecture, which includes AVX512, and instead puts out refresh after refresh of Skylake. I thought Intel would wake up with Ryzen gen1 but their only response was to add a couple of cores to the latest Skylake refresh and call it Coffeelake. It's nice to see AMD giving Intel a good run but I wish intel would get their heads back into the race.

I have a 2400G, don't expect to "GPU" mine with, even with the 3400G (It's Vega based with 11CU) which is a Zen+ with 200 or 300 more MHz than the 2400G. I still like the 2400G because I can browse the internet, or watch a 1080P video while CPU and GPU mining with my RX574s. 72MB cache will be available on the 3900X, I don't think the 3950X is worth for mining, huge price gap for 4C/8T more.

Apparently the new Gigabyte mid tier x570 will be 250 ish usd so we can expect pretty high prices for the new moteboards, unless need the new features might be a idea get a good x470. The new generation:

Mobo + CPU + RAM is set for 500$ to 1500$.
At current crypto prices, it's not worth to buy for mining. In a bull market, it's another story.

I don't know what numbers you're talking about. but I do know that the CPU ryzen obviously going to scale to 16 threads when mining its 65W. now even the top intel is not profitable to mine

I don't know what numbers you're talking about. but I do know that the CPU ryzen obviously going to scale to 16 threads when mining its 65W. now even the top intel is not profitable to mine This time only xeon series that can give a few bucks in a day, as far as i know only a high tier of AMD CPU like opteron and epic that can give a few bucks like xeon. Any series below than what i have mentioned will give nothing. I think everybody must forget to put a lot of expectation from CPU mining.

Can't agree. Desktop CPUs are the way to go because of price. There is a cost jump from core to coreX and again from corex to Xeon without any sigificant inprovement for that jump. The same with AMD Ryzen, threadripper, Epyc. More threads, higher clocks, bigger cache seem to take priority over the higher main memory bandwidth of coreX. The only thing is cooling. Destop CPUs (and their stock coolers) are not designed to run pegged 24/7. Xeons are designed with much higher thermal headroom and have much slower clocks which mekes less profitable for thier price. The used Xeon market is interesting when companies upgrade and gey rid of their old stock cheap. Ryzen is looking even better and I'm getting less interested in Cannonlake, even though it will have AVX512. It looks like the steam is running out of the SIMD battle. There doesn't seem to be much demand for AVX512. And that statement may have contradicted what I just said in the previous paragraph. AVX512 may make Xeons more attractive to miners.

Which CPU is better to buy from this list, If choose in terms price / hashrate? It depends on which algo you gonna mine i suppose. But lets say you gonna mine any of the cryptonight algos. Then you could get any of the Ryzen 5 3600 , Ryzen 7 3700X, Ryzen 9 3950X. Ryzen 5 = 12 threads Ryzen 7 = 16 threads Ryzen 9 = 32 threads So the only one thats not recommended would be 3800x, 3600x and thats because they got cheaper in same category. Personally im gonna get a Ryzen 3700x so i can max out the l3 cache and i cant afford the 16 core one.

I think we should not wait for cosmic results. The Ryzen 7 3700X, AMD claims, is 18% faster than the 2700X model in multithreaded computing and 28% faster than the Intel Corei7-9700K. If the purchase of a new processor from AMD due to the need to work, then Yes - you can combine the work and recoup some of the costs of the processor.

Preliminary benchmarks of Ryzen 3XXX show that they just wreck Intel CPUs.

When it comes to cryptonight you will want to have 2mb l3 cache per thread and with new 3000 series we get double from previous ryzens so we can use all the threads on the cpu hopefully..
Ryzen 1st / 2nd we had 16mb l3 cache = 8 threads to use so this new generation will be intresting to see what we can get. Almost certain will atleast outperform polaris.
