Why people are still buying BTC?

many people saying Bitcoin will be bubbles for this coming 5 years and it will dropped its price back to it's original price but that's not the point of the handlers, traders and business minded people, they think it as an opportunity to spread the word about it, the future it may bring to them, the thing  that it can do that paper money can't.

People still buying bitcoin because they now that the price of bitcoin is going higher this coming months, so that they buy bitcoin now that the price will low.

People still invest in Bitcoin, as it is gold for cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin is a stable coin that can bring good profits in the long term.

People keep on buying because they trusted bitcoin. Other coins are too risky to invest in due to problems they have encounterred especially during times when market was too low. And unknown coins where used on scams that creates fear among its users thus for safety reasons they choose bitcoin.

I understood why they wanted to invest in btc before, after the Chyprus crisis, and all the articles in the media. But now?

Smart people who are still buying BTC are doing so because they feel it is still very undervalued, and I tend to agree.
Since we've already seen the price shoot up to nearly $20k, we're currently at half that.
If anything, the price will go up by the end of the year, not continue to go down.
The correctional phase is beyond us now.

Bitcoin is still very popular today even though some people knew it because people scamming people too in the use of bitcoin. People are still buying bitcoin because of its idea they can use it in every sending money in their families or friends in easy way also to increase money they are using bitcoin too.

I don't get it.


Bitcoin is useless, and will most likely never be used as a currency. I spent hours trying to get my first bitcoins (satoshi actually), and after working for ages, I only got 0.002 btc, which does not even allow me to proceed to a transaction (the fees are higherthan that amount  ). When you compare it with CC or paypal, it seems that they are free to use in comparison! Not to mention the time required to actually proceed to a transaction which can be anything between 1 minute and ... 1 year (or more?).

The only possible reason I see people are buying btc is that they (truly) believe that the price will increase, and want to make more profit. I think that 99.99 % of the bitcoins exchanged are never withdrawn from the exchangers, and the people are only waiting to make some profits. What makes them believe that the price will rise? Because the amount of bitcoins is limited? Because lost coins can never be recovered? I have no clue.


An other problem is the "mining" part. Soon, the difficulty will increase, CPU and GPU mining will be useless. People will stop mining bitcoins and try LTC or something easy to get... The interest in btc will decrease.


Other issues:
- security. Not a single company was able to provide a "professional" service. Bitcoin-24 has a serious problem ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=174600.0 ). Even mtgox was critized for the lags, problems with missing coins, money, delay, and so on ... The hacks are countless (you can see new topics about that every day ...).


I can't see anything positive about btc, and still can't get why people are buying it. Can any captain obvious explains? Thanks.

People are still buying bitcoin because we have the same beleif that bitcoin will rise up soon.We beleive that bitcoin will hit $100000 this year.Bitcoin will explode in coming months  as a surprise to all bitcoiners.So every body is excited because of the coming high price of bitcoin.

For me people are still buying bitcoin its because the price of the bitcoin is better than other altcoin and it's more profitable. If people continue buying bitcoin the demand of the market will goes high so the price of the bitcoin will goes high and many investors waiting that time to sell their holding bitcoin to gain more profit in their investment.

because the BTC is a strong token, it does not really disappear. it will increase if the bitcoin value is low because of the time the BTC will increase the sales value.

I love what you are saying. And maybe I appreciate bitcoin as maybe I love blockchain technology because I think it will be a well-developed platform in the future.

   I see many post's popping up from early day's of forum. When I see it
I found more reason to believe in Bitcoin, that's why I am still buying. Old
post's make me smile too. Back in 2013 price of Bitcoin was around $100
or less, look where it is now.
   I think after 2023 people who read post's from now will smile too. Endless
circle, we don't respect time and possibilities we have in this moment.
   We are buying cause we believe in cryoto-currencies future. In 2013 we didn't
have so many coin's and token's like we have now, this is technology is making
progress every year and why would it stop now? It's not stopping, we need to
continue to invest as much as we can.

Because if you have a lot of money, if you really want to take part in this market and you want to sell it with two or three times price in the future, you can really invest in a topic and still the current price.

Maybe because they still believe that bitcoin can still surpass its last price. And they trust bitcoin.
Buying bitcoin now is a good idea because base on the history of bitcoin it will increase again. And it will become more profitable. If you trust bitcoin, then just relax, learn to wait and be patient. Just continue to gain more bitcoin.

It is because the people know the real value of bitcoin and they visualize the future value of bitcoin and that become the reason for them to believe that buying bitcoin is still worth it and even the price of bitcoin is more than on what they can afford they are still buying it by quarter so they cannot miss the opportunity of bitcoin.

First, I really think that any time is good time for buying bitcoin.
Second, if people just now heard about bitcoin, what they can do?
They didn't have luck to buy bitcoin before, when price was lower, and have to buy more expensive bitcoin now.
Still, they have very good chance to make profit.
Generally, people are buying bitcoin because they believe in bitcoin and expect to make good profit here.
