Why people are still buying BTC?

In my personal opinion, people are still buying bitcoin because bitcoin still has a good value and it is worth to invest on it because it is a long term investment. Bitcoin is really a good help for.people who needed money very much that is why they buy bitcoin for them to earn a more better earnings.

And why won't they buy btc? I mean we've seen how it's value can go up and we've seen how it's value can plummet. All the more reason to buy since riding the volatility can guarantee money. Most people who buy in now are probably after that anyway more than the tech behind it lol.

In my opinion, people are buying bitcoin even though its price is getting lower now because, they are taking the opportunity to buy more bitcoin in a much lower price. Bitcoin has been going steady these past few months, and its price is much lower than its price last december 2017, so for me, this is the time that I could buy bitcoin in cheaper price, and when it hits an up trend again, then I will gain big amount of profit.

I understood why they wanted to invest in btc before, after the Chyprus crisis, and all the articles in the media. But now?

I don't get it.


Bitcoin is useless, and will most likely never be used as a currency. I spent hours trying to get my first bitcoins (satoshi actually), and after working for ages, I only got 0.002 btc, which does not even allow me to proceed to a transaction (the fees are higherthan that amount  ). When you compare it with CC or paypal, it seems that they are free to use in comparison! Not to mention the time required to actually proceed to a transaction which can be anything between 1 minute and ... 1 year (or more?).

The only possible reason I see people are buying btc is that they (truly) believe that the price will increase, and want to make more profit. I think that 99.99 % of the bitcoins exchanged are never withdrawn from the exchangers, and the people are only waiting to make some profits. What makes them believe that the price will rise? Because the amount of bitcoins is limited? Because lost coins can never be recovered? I have no clue.


An other problem is the "mining" part. Soon, the difficulty will increase, CPU and GPU mining will be useless. People will stop mining bitcoins and try LTC or something easy to get... The interest in btc will decrease.


Other issues:
- security. Not a single company was able to provide a "professional" service. Bitcoin-24 has a serious problem ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=174600.0 ). Even mtgox was critized for the lags, problems with missing coins, money, delay, and so on ... The hacks are countless (you can see new topics about that every day ...).


I can't see anything positive about btc, and still can't get why people are buying it. Can any captain obvious explains? Thanks.

The bitcoin is the future currency, the peoples are still buying bitcoin because they believe the market demand will recovering soon.

Many people's are still buying BTC because the bitcoin price will be increase & at this present prices are low so, I think this reasons for people's still buy bitcoin.

They are just smart that they buy BTC now because soon it will cost too much. Also it is more popular now, so soon the value will become  too high.

Simply because they are still believing that there's a chance that investing on bitcoin will be profitable once again. Bitcoin has been down lately and some people are already leaving but as we can all see, as we stay optimistic, we attract good things. Right now, bitcoin's value is currently rising which is a good thing for those who are still believing on it.

We all know how complicated is but still we can see a lot of people staying loyal on it. Their loyalty is not just because they can earn on bitcoin but also because they know that bitcoin can still rise up again and give them a lot of benefits. Let us always keep our hopes high on bitcoin and it will surely happen that it will get bettet again.

Because these people already earn big profit out from bitcoin while others are just new believers who also want to earn big profit too. We can't stop bitcoin from attracting these people/investors because bitcoin is real, giving people opportunity and even change their lives for the best.

People are still buying bitcoin and will be buying and investing in it in future due to its response and advantages. The transactions from bitcoin are the unique transactions and there is no such system that will do that for you, there is no such ability. Bitcoin is the most advantageous crypto among all the crypto and that is why people like it and the value has reached at the top.

How can such digital currency like bitcoin be considered useless after some years of existing? Nothing worthless will exist for that long. There are so many coins that have gone out of the market and failed but bitcoin never did. As a currency it may not be good as it is really volatile but for some other purpose it could greatly help.

I think you are thinking that you are thinking about the high price of the bitcoin and that can't be in to better results soon because the main matter is that bitcoin was started from a very small amount of price and now the price of bitcoin looking very high but in actual if you will see it technically then that it will not be high price in my opinion and also in your opinion because right now demand are very high then supply and also here holders of bitcoin are more then sellers , so here all over there is a big limit of in cryptourrency market .
So here there will be only net gain the price of the bitcoin .
So don't think that why people are still buying bitcoin and also if people will not buy bitcoin then how the demand will increase .
In this Field at every condition buyers and sellers are available .

People are invested in bitcoin in many ways.
They see good reasons to stick with it and most of them are thinking long term.
Things crash from time to time, it doesnt mean they are dead.
And besides that profit isn't the main focus for most of the old dogs of bitcoin.
