In trading how do you know if it is time to still hold or is it the right time to sell? Do you go buy your profit margin  or actually wait for the highest possible peak?
For example if you're earning like 10% of your investment, would you just sell or would you be interested in waiting and seeing if it goes more up so you could earn more, in doing that its possible that it may go down and you then earn like 5-8%
But what is your process in this? How do you go about hold and sell timings?

I just wait before selling, for me its base on the popularity of the coin. If the coin is popular then I wouldn't sell it I will wait for it to go for the higher price. But if its not that popular then 5% higher is good for me, I will just sell it all before ending up losing.

If like this I will do same with you to close trade before the coin price goes down, and to make a 5-8% profit is a big advantage in my trading business.

Although if you can predict what will happen in the future. But if you are sure to get your profit and sell them and put your order on another bottom. It depend on the personality, some said if this is not the best time to sell our bitcoin. A lot of the market such as bitstamp, coinbase still on the stable price. There are no a lot of volatility.

But the current price of bitcoin is so high so buying is not recommended. But for me, the best option is to hold it and just save it for long term. Because I believed that the price of bitcoin is going strong and will likely to increase in the next couple of years. It's up to you whether you want it to sell now because the price is really attractive specially those that bought bitcoin at sub or jus a shade $1000. Think, think, think before making your move in this volatile market price.!!!

I do both holding and selling .I do not hold for a long time unless it is only bought Already on my profit .when i saw some price rise up and i earned even a small profit on it i will sell and buy again only with the profit to roll .Because if you will hold and wait for the ath there no ending on this we dont know what would be the ATH and the lowest cheap price .

then you must be a day trader, i think for short term investors it is a good to buy and sell from time to time but those people who have invested their money for long term investment then they need to wait for a good time. and hope that after some time bitcoin will really give them a good profit, because we are expecting that the price of bitcoin will continue to increase for a long time.

yes that can also be right that alt coins have good intentional to increase, but i think in present time we can expect that the price of bitcoin will continuously increase its price therefore we need to simple hold bitcoin and not to invest it anywhere. as by holding bitcoin you can make such amount of money that you cannot even make from trading alt coin. therefore in present time simply holding bitcoin is more better than investing it anywhere else.

Yes that is right but it is still depend to the people who are using bitcoin. Yes that is right but it is still depend to the people who are using bitcoin. If they prefer long term purposes then they will hold their bitcoin no matter what happen while those short term people will focus on the news right now and always monitor the price of bitcoin to see if they can make profits. Holding is the best than selling because in buying and selling if you are not aware on fluctuations you may only lose some profit .So by holding it for long term it is assured that you will earned profit even how many fluctuations happen in the market.

I think it is much better to go in hold the coins. Because base on the experience by the others here, they got their big profit
benefits at a long time holding their coins like I have a friend here who hold His xem for a couple of months I'm not exactly sure if He hold his xem less than a years or more than a years, and now He told me lately, that He bought a new car mitsubishi with new mountain bike, which He got it from holding xem,. Just he advised me to be patience,

That's right. It's better to get enough profit than risking too much. I currently have BTC1 in my wallet and I'm just waiting for this week to see how will it go and if it goes moren consistent, I would sell half of it in altcoin as an investment.

Yes  so everything depend on the strategy trading every traders, what will be done​ hold and sell
for me i always follow the trend of price, if the bullish trend is still strong,
i am still on the positions in trading (hold) but if there are sign the bullish trend is starting stop

I think you can do both "Hold or sell" because bitcoin prices are always constantly changing +/- and if you can get you timing right you can yield some good profit and we should also put into consideration the risk of price plunging down, so best strategy would be to stay up todate with crypto news and lookout for good/bad press or fud which could spark panic selling or demand for more bitcoins
