You seem like a trustworthy guy, I accept your apology and I apologize for my previous mean language to you.

Here's the correct virustotal link (that scans the actual file and not the website) for anyone that missed it:

https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/d2efdd54f98bd45c7dc572ad84b071ccfdf20b9f25757ff052b96721d5e1e1d2/analysis/1495084645/

I appreciate it Smiley

Will post the responses when I get them Smiley

Well, we need some explanation and clarifications about this as soon as possible, many people have been compromised as of now. thank you and we really appreciate your hard work.

Well, I believe there's no reason for concern since we did have the ESET team confirm it's a false positive
There's over a 100 of us on this forum running the wallet
And no one has reported anything malicious!

Looking for a signature campaign.

should be getting TorCoin listed on Cryptopia soon too!
There are no sell orders listed for TORcoin on the exchange you listed? Only a few buy orders that are severely under market price LOL!
Cryptopia should definitely bump up the price of TOR, however the sig campaign will probably dispense a few thousand TORcoins, which will keep the price low.

Based on the success of the sig campaign thus far - which is to say, zero success - I'll probably discontinue it soon.  If all I'm doing is paying out TOR, which ends up being SOLD, and not generating buyers, it will keep the price down.

Thus far no good traffic comes from this forum - it all comes from ads on news blogs, coinmarketcap, newsbtc and google organic search traffic.

It seems as though the price is being kept low by me paying out too many bounties in TOR - so I will start paying only in BTC soon.  I believe the actual VALUE of TorCoin to be around $3-$5 right now.
Paying sig campaign on TOR means that the coin will be distributed in many people, if they are holders, it will keep the price high, if they are dumpers, will keep the price down. Making the payment on sig campaign on BTC can be also implemented if you want it, and I also think because of the very active community on TOR the coin is pretty undervalued right now.
I do not think that it's all negatively affecting torcoin. Distribution of torcoin through bounty means that even if some people dumps it, the volume in exchanges increases. That means a more active market. You can try to rethink the method or add an additional work for the participant like a social media posting campaign that they should start a hype about torcoin to gather investors to buy the coin. A click on the website does not mean that your coin is gaining more investors, it's the movement in the market that will show it.

Some more exchange listing will help this coin to widen it's market and make some cryptotraders be familiar with this coin.
Cryptopia is another good choice but it better to go with bittrex or poloniex.

bittrex and poloniex are too expensive better to try with novaexchange first, they require only to vote to get your coin listed, while the other require you to pay 1 btc or more

True, some people might dump it, but it's important to get users involved with Torcoin, aka. to create a community!

After all a coin is as good as its community is Smiley

The problem with Poloniex is paying won't get us listed there just like that, we gotta show we have a dedicated community and nice trading volume.
I believe we have already created a decent community for this coin!

All we gotta do now is get some trades going Smiley

Anyways, we've got new vids coming from the Torcoin challenge!

To be on the safe side? Don't even run this garbage. Virus or not it's a scam.
Why are younsaying it is a scam? You said you ran test and proved it doesn't connect to the tor network and that this coin is not anonymous at all. Than show us that proof and I am happy to believe you, but as it looks now it just looks like you are an FUDDER.

Technically, if the developer is claiming that the product is doing one thing, while the actual product is doing another, it is a scam.

Merriam Webster defines a "scam" as:

Quote
Definition of SCAM

:  a fraudulent or deceptive act or operation • an insurance scam

Because OP is claiming that the QT wallet is fully integrated with the Tor network, and it is not, it could be considered "scammy". OP, for transparency, you should write a disclaimer or a clause on the top post explaining that a tor-integrated wallet will be available at a certain time.

I'm not one to easily give in to negativity and "fud" (if you wanna call it that), but @SysFailure0x5a has provided a lot of facts that have gone unanswered by the OP.

I know that there isn't much of an effect on your traffic via this forum, but transparency is extremely important at the launch of a product. I don't mean to continue harping on the issue, but I'm just speaking my mind.

I bought a good amount of TOR a few days ago for $0.95, so good to see that I'm already in the black.

I'm currently using a Mac with macOS Sierra (Version 10.12.4) installed, and I'm comfortably running the wallet that I downloaded from torcoin.org. Why? Because as far as I'm concerned, there is no threat to Mac users running the wallet, as per virustotal.com's analysis of the Mac wallet. Check for yourself: https://virustotal.com/en/file/47ce6dd660a6820ea911f5ae4942c394ab83281fac4cc9baeb2278603b3d6317/analysis/1495141363/

For the record, before I did a re-analysis of the mac qt, the last scan was done yesterday. I'm curious as to why nobody posted the results of the Mac wallet here?

Lol it IS integrated.  As shown on the website:

'Download the latest version of TorCoin

Download the fully TOR-integrated linux version here
This will create a Tor node, so make sure that Tor is legal in your country before using '

MacOS and windows are NOT yet integrated, but will be soon (under 2 weeks)

keep in mind the amount of FUD on the Dash thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1864282.new#new) far outweighs the FUD on the TorCoin thread ..

and look at the price of Dash :-)

Conclusion; almost no crypto investing comes from Bitcointalk

ibminer left him red feedback because it wasn't stated the tor branch needs to be downloaded for tor to be integrated

That's very untrue because what the hell are all the people doing here then  Cheesy
It's just that on bitcointalk you'll get a lot of comments from people who aren't investing in the said project

But there are ofcourse those who will.
