The transactions are confirmed using nodes that were referenced above. The nodes will confirm transactions/blocks and then split the fees. No mining needed. This is Proof of Signature not Proof of Work or Proof of Stake.

Do we have a rough timeline for the project?

Hi, I created an thread about the best scalable coin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1965832.0While I like XtraBytes for its uniqueness I was not aware that it could be a scalability solution, as well. But one answer in the other thread stated it is very scalable. So can XtraBytes really handle much more transactions in a second than PoW or PoS coins? If yes this coin would not be only a lot but extremely undervalued right now. Yeah we know. Would be nice to have a confirmation for that (Fatoshi already claimed it in the other thread). Why exactly is XtraBYtes super scalable? Not that Xtrabytes would be a bad coin if its not super scalable. Even then it would deserve a place in the top 20 if not top 10 coins, because of its unique solution which seems to be superior to PoW and PoS coins. Below a market cap of 20 billion scalability seems not to be a big issue, anyway. But with scalability much more is possible. I think scalable coins will dominate crytoworld when crypto market cap gets into the trillions.

Probably cause the layer is virtual that creates the blocks so therefore there is no friction. This is how XBY can be a great base for.cloud storage. Lots of questions get asked and answered and then they are buried in this thread and even long time followers of XBY can't seem to answer questions already answered. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1864397.msg19246551#msg19246551

It is based on the IOTA Tangle concept. PoSign being the replacement term for Tangles. That concept was talked about in 2015. If anyone can show me XBY is unique to IOTA I would be interested.

How is tangle concept in IOTA in anyway similar to what XtraBYtes tech does? Of course there is overlap in terms of goals because these are the goals that all crypto is trying to solve like 51% attack, scalability without POW or POS. We are tackling the same problems but no similar concepts at all.

Actually IOTA is based on DAG which isnt a unique concept to IOTA in fact Byteball has used the concept already before IOTA. XBY uses a very different approach using Chords P2P concept..static signed nodes, and a virtual layer that makes blocks. There is nothing like it. Whatever the criticism you want to give XBY it cant be its not unique.

Nah he deserves nothing, he has been around this project from the beginning, he knows more than he is saying. A question that is as stupid as his doesn't deserve an answer. Comparing two entirely different technologies and saying they are the same is stupid, and he knows it.

PoS here is Proof of Signature and not Proof of Stake, you can't stake or mine xtrabytes.
