Actually for players like them who are old and still able to be on stage or prestigious competitions even though they are not playing they are already very respected because of their presence and of course with conditions like that the mentality of young people is clearly aroused.

No one knows for sure why Maguire has played so badly in the squad, even though when he was bought by Manchester United his performances were quite good and he was the first choice of the previous coach. Since the New Era under the tutelage of Erik Ten Hak in almost all the matches he played he made a fatal mistake which led to the defeat Manchester United. At the national team level, Gareth Southgate has given a stern warning to the player, if his playing time at club level does not improve then the opportunity to play in the main squad will be lost, even though currently the coach is still call him.

Maguire had experienced mental pressure at Manchester United because he made repeated mistakes and also received many threats from fans. Actually the pressure comes from the players themselves, can they deal with the pressure a bit and focus more on playing so that the team performance can be strong.
Harry Maguire is a player with a defensive position he should be able to make Man United have solid strength in defense, but everything you have said is true, that he actually played less than his maximum and made several fatal mistakes.
Maybe Erik ten Hag will put him on the bench more often next season.
