I think calling it a failure when a club loses against Real Madrid is too harsh, but it is not about PSG losing against Real Madrid in general. It is about their performance and that was not promising in a way that they could still be satisfied with how they took on the challenge and tried to fight. PSG wasn't a world class team that was about to knock out Real Madrid.

Of course they always have their moments but that is to be expected when you have Messi and Mbappe on your team, but a few brilliant moments during a game that otherwise isn't played with maximum effort and intensity will almost never be enough to beat an opponent like Real Madrid.

I am so curious to see how they will perform in the next Champions League season. I can't see why it should get any better with all those players who now left.

I hope so too because since the time of Ronaldinho, Ronaldo and the rest of them, Brazil national team have struggled to keep their name at the top of rankings despite enjoying a good reign during the old era. If I'm not mistaken there are such words but it is likely that if now Brazil will be his next destination then indeed the last club is Madrid that he coaches and it could be that Brazil is also the last national team he coaches given his current age which is already at retirement age.
Ultimately at the end of his tenure he will still be honored as a coach by ending up at a great club and a great national team too.

It is not a matter of having too many super stars in a team. Atleast PSG is a case study that names doesn't win champions league. They had Cavani who could not do it alone and they added Neymar and both could not bring the trophy for them.
They added the young talent, Mbappe and he could not do it together with the Brazilian samba boy.
Atleast the world best player was added to them and yet nothing happened.

What you need to win the Champions League is a very good defence and good forwarders and that's it.

Luis Enrique is a great coach but it will be a lot of trouble when he comes to PSG there are other rumors about Mbappe leaving and the team gives him the decision he wants whether to extend his contract or not, otherwise PSG will have to sell him in the current transfer season because this star player does not want to be a free transfer for next season. 

Mbappe is an important part of PSG while Neymar is always having problems with injuries that keep him out longer, while there are other rumors that he will also be sold but there is no valid news yet, maybe if there are other teams interested then PSG is open to offers.

It is still very difficult to say about Luis Enrique and the Champions League title, if he does not bring PSG to survive in the UCL it is likely that the sacking will occur or the contract is only up to two years without another contract extension, but it is still too much to talk about this in my opinion.

This is a very brilliant news, not just for the Brazilian national team; but also for Real Madrid fans and lovers; its been long over due for Carlo to quit Real Madrid after an inconsistent season. I think exactly what Manchester United have done is Chelsea's goal. Winning the league after something like that is very difficult. I mean, building a team to be competitive with teams like Manchester City in a few months is incredibly difficult. I don't think the managers that were sacked at PSG were sacked mainly because they got knocked out of the champions league. The champions league was a reason but it was not the only factor the decision to let the coaches go was based.

The way the PSG team play is a factor. PSG didn't play good football under Pochettino and Galtier. They were struggling. When you have a team that plays well and competes with the top teams when they meet in the champions league, the manager won't be sacked even if he got knocked out by the other team.
Take Pep Guardiola for example, he always got knocked out of the champions league for about seven years or so, but the club never thought of sacking him even though the Champions League is what they really needed. They had trust in him because he has shown what he is.
If the previous managers showed that they could lead the project they wouldn't have been fired, instead they would have been have been backed by the club.

Nobody expects a coach to come to a team and do magic. The coach has to show that he's worthy to be trusted before he can be trusted to be there for a long time.
