Considering the how good Kylian Mbappe have been and how he's helped Paris Saint Germaine in big games since he signed for the French champions, I think it'll be very difficult for the club to better without his presence at the club. For the club long term interests, Joselu is certainly not the right choice, United would be better off recruiting younger players to be able to compete to become a team challenging for the title next season. Management must be careful when recruiting players, lest their mistake last summer be repeated, they recruited players who were injured and that hampered all the plans they had.

However, it all depends on the budget they have, building squad depth certainly costs a lot of budget which will not necessarily produce an instant impact on the club.
