Yes, when it comes to Van Dijk, this interest is very normal. Van Dijk has become a Dutch defensive legend. He has become synonymous with Liverpool. I can't believe Liverpool would want to let him go. If it were me, I would retire him with a Liverpool jersey. Because he can easily play for Liverpool until he retires.

It will depend on the willingness of the club to give offer him a contract that will make him remain with the club till bw retires. Players at his age prefer a long time contract while clubs usually give one or two years contract when a player is above thirty. Van Dijk has not shown so much sign of reduction in quality so I think he deserves a longer contract if he is willing to stay. For now, there is no new news about the future of the Dutch international even as his contract has entered the final six months.

In my opinion, his contract should be extended and he should be motivated to do his best for Liverpool. Because he has been playing the most important role in defense for years. He was once said to be the best defender in the world. He is still one of the best defenders in the world in my opinion. Even though he is 33, he is still performing very well. I think it would be a great gain for Liverpool if he stays in the team. I also think Mohamed Salah should stay in the team with him.

Don't you think that decision also rely on van dijk ? I don't know the terms of his contract clause but I understand that Liverpool wouldn't want to willingly give him out, I mean the man is a behemoth at the backline of Liverpool and is one of the major reasons Liverpool have also achieved the level of defensive strength they have till date while as for Mohamed Salah Liverpool wouldn't want to do anything to lose him cause even at this stage he is one of the prime player in the club.

Liverpool have serious problems about renewing contracts in time. There is a serious defect in the negotiations teams, a lack to convince players to stay without asking for higher salaries and longer contracts.
In the past many players left because few months left before they contracts renewal and there is nothing clear from Liverpool side so they moved to Saudi Pro League or other clubs. Sadio Mane left partially because of this, Salah is annoyed too due to this and Van Djik is not an exception apparently..

Virgil Van Dijk, in my opinion, will not be able to wear the Real Madrid jersey. He is now 33 years old and I do not think Real Madrid would want to sign him. Ancelotti may have had problems with his defenders, but I do not think they will solve this by signing an older player. They are probably looking for a young and successful defender. He should be of a quality that can wear the Real Madrid jersey for many years and not mind being a substitute.

Real Madrid rarely sign old players, it has always been catch them young desire club, they recruit players that are young in age between 18-23, they spend on them and then gives them huge PR so the player can go viral, that way tbe player will be force to work on his self and performance, this how I know Real Madrid criteria of players selection, even Ronaldo that became the face of the club was very young, the likes of Marcelo, Zidane all all were young that time.

Van Dijk will not even go to Real Madrid if you ask me, everyone has seen what Mbape face or facing in Real Madrid. The competition in that club is very high especially if you are not the first 11, any single opportunity you are give to play, they will want to impress Anceloti so he can put them in trial if given them other opportunities when the needs arrived. If you are old person, you will only be doing what Modric is doing for Real Madrid.

1 week at the start of the tranfer window.
It could be a big one

After the Saudi Arabia got the official deal for hosting the new wolrld cup one thing is sure.
From now until the wolrd cup they will invest a lot of money, like PSG did for the Qatar.

Not sure toh they will start right now but a big sign like Momo Salah at the end of the season I think it is very probable if they are ok giving him 100+ m € per year.

And yes they are a lot of money but they basically dig money in the sand with oil.

Recently, a lot of speculations have been making the rounds in European transfer news outlets about Liverpool's defender Virgil Van Djik. The Dutchman was recently asked by the media about his future with the Merseyside club and he responded by saying that “There is no deadline at all. We will see what the future brings” and when he was further asked if there's any update, he responded with "No".
Do you think Van Djik might leave Liverpool at the end of the season and join any other of the other top European clubs that are rumoured to be interested in him? Or do you think he'll remain at Anfield beyond the current season? Let me read your thoughts

Liverpool are messing around with the contracts of their top players. Virgil van Dijk is one of the best CBs in the world, IMO he should have a Ballon d’Or to his name. VVD is a valuable asset to Liverpool, there shouldn’t be a debate whether to extend his contract or not. There are a lot of top teams in Europe that would come for his signature if he chooses to leave Liverpool.

He should be of a quality that can wear the Real Madrid jersey for many years and not mind being a substitute.

I really missed out on his age factor when seeing him as a potential player of Real Madrid by next season. 33 years old is not a young player that can be dependent on for long, he’ll begin to ware out in no time especially if he’s not that strong to uphold his physique and fitness in the field. I am very much sure that Real Madrid would have been looking for an alternative and even if they really want to make use of him, they’ll only give him a short time contract for the moments he will be spending with the club. At the end of the season, more conclusions will unveil on who Real Madrid will go for in the long run.

Liverpool management should try as soon as possible to offer a new contract to Van Djik, he is no longer young but I think Van Djik is still worthy of being kept for one or two more seasons. I have the same thoughts about M Salah, whose contract will also expire at the end of the season. Both players have shown a desire to stay longer at Anfield, but it all depends on the decision of the management and club officials. In the next week, when the January transfer window opens, both players can negotiate with any club.

Most likely Van Djik and M Salah will stay until the end of the season, Liverpool bargaining power in winning trophies will decrease drastically if they leave in January. Arne Slot as the coach certainly knows the impact that will occur if Van Djik and M Salah leave, Liverpool management should be able to learn from past experiences where they lost key players due to slow movement.

Public opinion isn't always the outcome of players decision, I just know for a certain that Liverpool are in a very bad tough situation, they will likely make him stay till next season or half way till the end of this season because they are on the top spot and I can't lie, Van Dijk has been one of the rare players they can get soon if they let him go, and their chance of winning the league might just get even tougher, Chelsea are fast running to them with good performance.

Unless he says he is not willing to stay but which club is going to offer him good salary aside from what Liverpool is paying him right now, no club is going to be willing to pay him at such his age. However, Liverpool are very disappointing with contract renewal, don't be surprised if you hear Van Dijk salary is reduced with a long contact, they wanted doing that to Mane and he flew out of the club to Germany. Unless he want to go to Saudi where others retire, big pay are almost over.

At the moment the whole thread here is about van Dijk, but there are far more interesting transfers that will or could happen soon, for instance if you look at Florian Wirtz. While I think he is a great player, I believe that he isn't worth the 150 million that Bayer Leverkusen is said to be asking for him. They have a great starting position for negotiations though as they extended his contract early and he either has a contract until 2027 or 2028. Some sources state that he extended his contract that originally expired in 2027 for another year, but with a clause to leave the club and a higher salary.

What I have noticed in the past especially about the younger players who play one or two great seasons is that as soon as they are everywhere in the media and all the attention is pointed towards them, their market value immediately increases. It's like FOMO in BTC when it is all over the place that people will want it even when some of them think it could be too expensive.

I don't know if he is a player who perfectly fits into the Bayer Leverkusen game, or if he is a player that you can just buy and he continues to be world class without any hesitation. It's a big difference to be the star of Bayer Leverkusen or of Liverpool / Real Madrid etc.

Look, I understand Virgil Van Dijk to Real Madrid sounds like it makes incredible sense to a lot of people, but I have to say the age issue is a big problem there. There are a lot of players that are star levels at Real Madrid right now, and very few are as old as VVD. Look at Vini, Mbappe, Rodrygo, Valverde, most of them pretty young players, and look at VVD, that dude is 33 years old already, not entirely sure how many elite level football left in him.

I feel like he could be good for maximum of two more years, two more seasons after this, so getting him would not make sense. The more logical one would be getting someone at most 27 years old, possibly younger, so that they can play together for a longer term together.
There are better defenders that could fill void created by injuries to some Real Madrid key defenders instead of Virgil Van Dijk, I understand that Ancelloti wanted a quick replacement to injured David Alaba and Militao at their centre back, personally I don't rate Virgil Van Dijk as a good defender he was an average defender he was always cover-up by Konate at their central defense, meanwhile Ramos is neither a good alternative there are competent central defenders in Europe even free  agents who are below 30 years, however in a long term basis Ancelloti should start scouting for a young central back towards the summer.

Virgil Van Dijk might be a temporary solution for real Madrid. He is still playing at the highest level and he is playing regularly for Liverpool. Despite his age if Real Madrid want to get him they can still go ahead and sign him, so that he can bring more stability in their defense. Virgil Van Dijk can still play at this level till he turns 35 or more. Don't just look at his age, look at the experience that he is going to bring to the real Madrid team. For me his age is not a problem, as long as he is fit and doing his job. Sometimes a team without older players to guild the younger ones do have problems. It is even important for a team have at least an older player in every department of the squad. A team that's full of young players alone will struggle to win matches, when they meet a more experienced team than them.

33 years old is still enough for a short-term contract especially now that Madrid still needs senior players because indeed the majority of their players are young so this is still possible to happen especially now that the figure of senior players on the field is missing after Alaba and Carvajal are still absent due to injury so it is not wrong if in the end van Dijk is in the squad if this is still possible to happen.

Madrid's season is always tough with a lot of fixtures and when the majority of their young players are full of passion and ego, it may not go well so there needs to be some more mature players to balance things out.

In addition, although van Dijk is now 33 years old, he is still consistent enough to guard the defense so I think if Madrid can finally bring van Dijk to the Bernabeu, it will certainly make the situation better in competing and trying to win trophies this season.

It is really sad to see a top team like Barcelona struggling financially.  Sad  It is all because of mismanagement of the team over the years by spending insane amount of money on useless players. Don't get me wrong. For example Coutinho was impressive while he was playing for Liverpool. However did he really deserve a price like 135 million euros? I don't think so. Barcelona was just overspending on players in the past.

Now they are having difficulties in even spending an amount like 50-60 million on signings. Losing a player like Olmo would be really sad. Because he was like a great alternative after failing to bring Nico Williams.
Yes, you are right. The financial struggles within a club is based on outrageous signings and mismanagement of clubs funds. Barcelona lack a well structural pattern which is evident in their investment on transfers that's not worth it. I will be disappointed if they fail to find a way to register Dani Olmo. He is a good player and has contributed significantly to the success of the club since he arrived from Rb Leipzig.

While its true that Barcelona is definitely in a financial struggle, also remember that its about the cap they have in la liga, so they are not allowed to spend whatever they want to, there is a sustainability question, its even harsher than FFP as well, look at other leagues and there are some teams who are not even as good as Barcelona who spent more, hell even Brighton spent more this season. However, it works too, it keeps from teams getting into real debt, not just cap space limit, but like actually stops them from being in ruins, and you can still do fine, Barcelona has been in this trouble for a few years now, won one league and got second another league most recently, so I would say they could still do fine, and same rules apply to real Madrid nad look how great they are doing.

Even though the transfer window hasn't opened yet, I have been following different transfer news from a very good source on X(Twitter). From what I read, it is believed that Real Madrid will likely go for VVD too if he happens to be available, and from the general rumor, Trent is already set to leave Liverpool for free at the end of the season, while Real madrid happens to be his next destination. So, if Liverpool and VVD fail to agree a very good deal, then both himself and Trent will definitely join Real Madrid, which looks like a very nice deal for the Spanish side.

And as for Salah, I think there are rumors that Liverpool are considering to offer him a new contract (not sure of the years), but there haven't been any real approach. I hope Liverpool are not considering to get new replacement for these 3 players I just mentioned, because it will definitely be a major blow for them. These 3 players can't just leave at the same season and time.

Real Madrid needs a veteran player to guide the midfield because Real Madrid needs someone that can maintain composure in high tension game. There isnt any major problem with their defense line so far and besides dont you think that Liverpool also need VVD on their team? So far he is by far one of the best defender in EPL so losing him would be dumb, he could still play for 1-2 seasons more for sure

Since he left Sevilla in the summer, Spain and Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos is still without a club but reports emerged yesterday suggesting that Ramos declined an offer from Argentine club Boca Junior. I know that not many European clubs will want to sign Ramos at his current age but I think a move to Saudi Arabia won't be a bad one of the former Spain international.

Talks about Sergio Ramos rejecting an offer from Argentine club Boca Junior might be true because they are a lower team in a much lower league and might not offer or meet his wages demand and it would only be realistic for him to go to Saudi Arabia where they will be able to offer him a huge wages and a conducive environment too.

Sergio Ramos only wants play for european club. He has no interest to leave from Europe as he's loving to stay here. He only accepts an offer from a good european club. I see no chance for abroad club like Boca Junior to sign him as a new player.

If it was european club and not Boca, he would accept it.

Well, Sergio Ramos is quite old guy and probably his body doesn't have to play more like his prime despite him wanting to play at a higher level. European clubs don't want to sign Sergio Ramos because  his age is too high and at the same time, his huge salary. So unanimously, no club will like to sign Sergio Ramos. Today, all clubs like to sign young players. Sergio Ramos is a 38 years old guy, he will hardly be able to play two seasons because when the age increases, the performance also declines, and that is why the player is forced to take retirement. Sergio Ramos has been a legendary defender, he has an unparalleled position in the art of defense, but in fact, now he has become old, and now it would be better to leave the European competition and intervene in the easy league where he can enjoy football.

I think Sergio Ramos should move to Saudi Arabia league, where he will earn a lot of money and enjoy football. Because in Saudi Arabia, there is not as much pressure from the club side on the player to perform brilliantly like it is demanded in the European competition for better performance. So Sergio needs to go to Saudi Arabia and play with his former team mate Cristiano Ronaldo.

Liverpool should not change their current squad as they continue on their way to the championship this year. Salah and Van Dijk can easily play for another 1-2 years and I think they should stay.

It seems to me that teams in the EPL are obsessed with the ages of their players.
Whether it is Salah or Van Dijk, I would keep them in the team even if they are 40 years old after they have performed on the field.

There are many rumors circulating about the transfer market this winter. The latest rumors come from Juventus. It is estimated that Juventus will take advantage of the transfer market to strengthen the team. It is predicted that Juventus will buy 2 defenders and an attacker, there may also be a central attacker. This condition is also strengthened by the problem of player injuries. Gleison Bremer, Juan Cabal, Arkadiusz Milik still can't give confidence to the coach even though they will recover. The coach feels that they are not sure they can find the best ability after the injury. The two defenders who are wanted are David Hancko and Antonio Silva.

It is always a good thing for a club to strengthen their squad when they feel that they are lacking in some vital areas. I think it’s a good move by Juventus to bring in some players to strengthen their squad, these signings will help them become more competitive. With names like David Hancko and Antonio Silva reportedly linked with Juventus, it will be a great advantage to the team.
