People are divided in this discussion. One part say that managers should be given enough time especially if they are ones who have an impressive history. The other part say that this is risky.

I'm part one most of the time.    Xabi Alonso has already shown what he is capable of at Leverkusen.

The coaches you have mentioned, only Pep Guardiola has qualified. While Zidane, yeah, we know they won 3 Champions League titles for Madrid, but with a Galacticos squad where Ronaldo, Benzema, Ozil, Kross, and some great players still playing at that time, I think it's normal they got that trophy. Now, with an ordinary squad, I am not sure Zidane can handle it, it the same like other coach you have mentioned, Kompany and Mikel Arteta, both untested for the club who have high pressure from officials and fans. Madrid also have champions tradition which must be maintained every season.

When Zidane won trophies with Real Madrid, he had a very glamorous squad, and so did their squad depth. So, there are quite a few who think that what Zidane achieved was not purely due to his ability to train a team, but more because of the great squad he had at that time. So some assume Zidane might not be able to achieve the same success with the current Real Madrid squad.

But I think Real Madrid now also has a pretty good squad, and if they have the right coach, then Real Madrid has a big chance to win many trophie,s and maybe there will be a new meme ("pass the ball to Mbappe")  .

Real Madrid need to sign 2 Centre Backs, 2 midfielders, one right wing and one striker, the team is in a crisis right now and it will be difficult for the team to bounce back at this moment because Real Madrid will play against Alaves in the weekend with just 2 defenders, the right backs are injured and the two left back are suspended for the red cards they received against Celta Vigo, Real Madrid need to sign players in January transfer window with the way the players are having injuries if not they will end up without any trophy.

There is no place better than Real Madrid for him.

Rodrygo is a good player, I agree, but expectations are always high for a player of Real Madrid's caliber, so sometimes he can be a disappointment. He did his best in the City game and I think he played brilliantly. The important thing is to be able to do that consistently.

But I like Real Madrid's strategy. Players should have common sense and not demand exorbitant salaries - Real Madrid pays not only money, but also status and titles. If a player is only interested in money, he can try his luck at a club that considers money less valuable, or even in Saudi Arabia. I think it would be a big mistake for Vinnie to go to another club, they won’t necessarily build the game around him.

Funny enough to see the comments about Vinicius Jr as not been the player he always was and have been. Real Madrid chooses the side of Kylian Mbappe and would let the Frenchman take the show and main player from Vinicius Jr. This is definitely not what Vinicius Jr talked about it and wouldn't be here laying down If he had better options. It's possible for Arsenal to sign Leao, but not for Rodrygo. The reason is clear Rodrygo is still keen defending his position in Madrid, though he rarely gets minutes. He even rejected Pep's approach to join City. So hoping him to join in Arsenal is just too good to be true. I say this based on the reality.

I was mentioning TAA just to make an example of a player that, in my opinion, Real Madrid didn't really need. But of course since he has a big name they went after him. Until now it looks like it's been a bad deal for everyone: the player and the team. If you want to play with offensive full-backs then your central defenders must be extremely good, and right now their best best defender probably is Rudiger, which is good, but not as good as Ramos or even Pepe. Of course it's easy to blame the manager but Xabi Alonso probably has the weakest defense of Real Madrid's recent history.

Rodrigo should leave Real Madrid to develop his talent. If he stays at Real Madrid, his quality and performance will likely decline. Yes, if Rodrigo were to go to Arsenal or Manchester City, it would likely be difficult for him to secure a starting spot. Right now there are no good available managers on the market so if they do decide to fire Xabi Alonso they should go with some unknown name like Arbeloa, Solari or God knows who. A team like Real Madrid should give Xabi Alonso more time to adapt, and the same goes for the team, they still need to understand what the manager wants. Anyway I think the defense is Madrid's biggest problem because Militão is constantly injured, Alaba and Rudiger are getting old, and then they have a bunch of young players.

In all honesty, the Madrid defence line is not at the best in terms of result, but they have some of the outstanding defenders in the world, Antonio Rudiger, Dani Carvajal, David Alaba, Militao including Trent Alexander Arnold, all this guy's are World class, I just believed Xabi Alonso has not been right with the tactics, I mean these are some of the players Carlos ancelotti use and he was making headway. If push comes to shove, Madrid can always call the Attention of Zidane to help out.

I don't think we should judge Alonzo bad for his lost to Man city, Man city is also a strong club we shouldn't forget this, if xabi Alonso is sack because of the last matches he lost then that's a wrong decision because losing 2 to 3 matches can't stop a club from winning the title.

Xabi Alonso should be allowed to stay till the end of the season, if he kept kylian Mbappe on bench again city without the dude been injured then Alonso really fucked up keeping your key and your most important player on bench in the uefa champions league against Man city was the biggest mistake he made but i believe he might have learn from his mistake.

As long as Real Madrid could get some decent defenders during this winter break, I am sure they will be fine. I am not saying get players that are main squad quality, but at least better than their current bench, that way they can do a great job. They are still using Rudiger as their best defender, they should have been evolving from that and getting someone better. That new kid wasn't really what they thought he would be neither but playing many games because of injuries.

So spending some 50-60 million on getting 2 defenders, one centre back, and one right/left back who can play at both wing backs, would be the greatest offer for them. If they get those two players who are decent too, then they will do wonders second half of the season.
