Can I add to my order?
Assuming chips are still available, you may add up to 100% of your initial purchase without losing your place in the shipping cue.

Can someone please clarify if this applies only per batch, while chips are available for that batch, or more chips can be added to the current batch and get them delivered together with your chips from the previous batch?

If possible, I'd like to add a few chips to my batch 4 pre-order.

Cheers.

Why would you be able to go back and order chips on a batch that has already been closed (and paid for). You'd be bumping somebody else who paid for their chips/place in that order already. Once the batch closes, you would jump in on the next batch.

May I suggest an update to the first page in terms of chips available?

Current:
Chips available: 576

Suggested 1:
Chips available to order: 576 (Chips available after order on Batch 5: 5000)

Suggested 2: (when order is placed)
Chips Available: 5000 (First batch of 5000 chips ordered and paid for)

Makes sense?

Once this all gets going, if you have the fully hosted option,  at some time in the future,  will you be able to ask for the units you own to be shipped from the data centre to another address,  your home for example?

I see where you're going. For suggestion 2, each batch is 10,000 chips. The second half is being pre-ordered to help with the shipping date.

Once this all gets going, if you have the fully hosted option,  at some time in the future,  will you be able to ask for the units you own to be shipped from the data centre to another address,  your home for example?

Yes. The customer retains full ownership of the unit and may have it sent anywhere they wish at any time.

All purchases received, recorded, replied.

It appears the batch will be funded tomorrow.

* Assembly, Assembly and DIY Kit, and Fully Assembled Unit prices do not include the price of Avalon ASIC chips, and are not due at the time of chip purchase.

I think you might have overpaid for the 16 chips Huh

Batch 6 around the corner? Grin

No need. First counter of 5000 chips, are down to when he places the order (to shorten the queue for us), then there will be a new counter that closes batch 5.

I have suggested to indicate 5000 chips available until order of batch 5. that later updates into 5000 chips remaining until closing of batch 5.

Let´s see if it changes..

and that being said, im sure he will do even up to a batch 100 if orders keep coming in at this pace.

Yeah, unless you've read at least the first few pages (and not that many people have) it wouldn't be clear that he's placing the order as soon as half of the chips are sold - as driksson said this shortens the wait for us.
Somewhere on the pages was a buried link to the avalon chips that said that they must be ordered in batches of 10k. So - as soon as he gets half of that (5k) he places the order, and while the chips are in transit (may take weeks) he sells the other 5k.

And if you look at the very first post - that's what it currently says:
Quote
Batch 5: Order #10xxx, Expected Purchase week of June 2. Expected delivery date early/mid Aug.
So - they haven't been purchased yet. As the title says at the moment - there are 303 chips left to hit the 5k mark, and at that rate this may happen in the next few days (if not today).

Edit:
Looking at the bitcoin address for batch-5 says currently "Total Received 446.61949639 BTC" which is 5193 chips, so we've probably already passed the 5k mark (even if people mistakenly paid for not just the chips but also including assembly).
