steamboat,
I purchased chips from batch 1 and batch 5.
I have all ready ordered assembly for the chips in batch 1.
When do I need the order assembly for the chips from batch 5?
Thanks!!

Assembly orders were open for batches 1-5. Probably should've done it already.

I think the point is that steamboat asked everyone to keep it secret, and we should respect that. We have no idea what restrictions he has on the website by the hosting company he is using. Some packages have limited bandwidth etc.

Of course friends and family of people who have already placed orders will find out, but publishing it on a forum opens it up to unnecessary abuse.

I purchased chips from batch 6. However, my plans have changed. If anyone is interested in purchasing them, I will be selling them for the exact cost I paid for them. Don't think I can refund them. I also have some avalon PCBs (10 of them), I'd like to sell as well.

 PM if interested.

Forgot to mention, its for 50 chips (4.3 BTC total).

I can vouch for numbers 1 through 3 to be spot on.

Delivery date is 10 weeks from batch purchase date plus a couple days, but that can be extended for various reasons and I do not believe I am a credible source to debate on way or another.

I think snare rolls should be used as a currency.

You should be sure to send the funds from a bitcoin address that you control and can use to sign messages. I think the email message needs to signed with the bitcoin address you sent from.

From the main post: "*Note* Do not send funds from an address you do not control. You will be required to prove ownership of the sending address upon request. "

Hi Steamboat,

From your 6/9 update:

Quote from: steamboat
Sample chips have shipped. Batches 1 through 4 have been marked as sample chip shipped. There will only be 30 sample chips. Additional sample chips are being provided, but the shipping date is unknown.

Have you logged into your Avalon account lately? I'm curious if additional sample chips have been sent yet (in particular for batch 5). Thanks.

I'm sure this is on everyone's mind, but I'll say it out loud: Shouldn't we be pretty close to at least Batch 1 chips going out? I'd anticipate the first two or three batches might even ship together? It would seem silly for Yifu to ship our batch one, then wait 11 days, ship 2, then wait another 11... Maybe it's just wishful thinking.

I think they have already said batches wont ship together.

Yes, they HAVE said the chips won't all ship close together. Yet there are reasons to believe that they might. It seems to me they must be producing chips to build up their stocks. Why wouldn't they ship quickly once they start shipping? That's the way it works with "mainstream" chips like CPU, for sure.

I agree, I seems like we should be seeing shipments of the early orders very soon. It's been pretty close to ten weeks since the first pre-orders, I think.

Just came across this on Bitcoin Reddit -- appears to be Avalon's bulk chips? Maybe multiple batches will come through at once after all...
