In my opinion, it is better to make your own research and trust your guts.

The most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now.

The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.

I recently found one project called Ethereum Meta, it is related to anonymity and untraceable transaction. They have a very interesting project to build the Anonymous E-Market Place.

500 is quite low if I have more money I will definitely go for BTC, with 500 I would like to create a portfolio comprising of ETH, BTG, Ripple and some Monero. I never put all my eggs in one basket

If you are talking for someday I would go for other altcoins which has a low market cap that can be really huge in the future. Bitcoin and Ethereum was really good but you can't get a big profit with them if you will not invest a really big money on them.

Altcoins, especially Ethereum, seem to be the most logical. It is not an investment as high as $ 500 Bitcoin, it can be converted to Bitcoine with some profit from other Crypto coins.

sometimes i see as if the market is not rational, when bull market arrives, fundamentals get thrown out the window. Strong coins like bitcoin will likely last longer because they are tried and tested, however you can only go so far with profit in bitcon. Find a great alt that can explode, then take your profits into bitcoin eventually
