I will sell when I reach 10% of profit. that's my rule. It helped me quite successfully until now. You should not be greedy. Otherwise you will lose everything. Make your own rules. Do not let psychology dominate you. you will succeed. Do not try to hold long to have the opportunity x2 x3 balance. That is a trader's vices

A gain of 10% is impossible to achieve if you are a day trader. There's only a possibility if you are doing this in long term. Nowadays, a normal gain plays around 3 to 5% and it will take you either one to two weeks to achieving that. It might be a different situation if targetting a not known coin which has the potential to rise up, due to hype or market trend. RaiBlocks (XRB) is a good example, from $0.10 last December 2017 it rises up to a max of $34 this January 2018. Either way, there are coins that are currently in the Top 100 of crypto market cap that has the possibility to follow the footsteps of XRB. In order for a trader to not miss out on anything, he / she needs to focus on being updated with the current news, events, and happenings around the crypto scene.

The right time to sell is when the price rises, this is the right time, because selling at high time then I will get many benefits.

When do you decide to sell?

Is it a sat, a % of profit, or even a randomly thought up number in your head?

I am new to trading Crypto, but when I traded other stocks, I would aim for a certain percentage.
This seems much easier to hit that percentage, but much more risky.

How do you determine when to let it go?
I will sell when my initial target has been reached, before reaching the target I will not sell the coin.
Unless I'm in a position of needing money, I'll be thinking about selling my investments.

I sell when i reach my goal which is a 5% in increase, its better that way rather than to wait for it to reach 50% increase then drastically downfall and you end up in negative.

Yes set %. I will sell my coins invested in ICO only when I see 1000% profit or more. For too good coins it will be 10000%. But that too I wont sell all my coins but I will sell 70% of them and I hold the remaining.
Those are very high targets and difficult to achieve but I appreciate your strategy and high spirits. The only thing that you need to do is hold your asset for a really good period of time.

If it is bitcoin that you have invested in then it is not going to take long before this happens but in case of  Ethereum or other alternative coin,  You will need to show more patience But this is the way of a trader.

When I saw that its already made me profit 5-10% I will sold it instantly. I don't want to regret not selling while it is still in profit. I just want to secure my profit first before anything els. Im a day trading that's why profit is mor important to me. I do hold some bitcoins for long terms also Smiley
Don’t go for 5-10% mate go for the big hand and that is more than 100% and yeah it is true bitcoin is giving people more and all this require bit of patience and I am sure of a person invests for the longer terms bitcoin give them a lot of money and i will sell when bitcoin will click to the 30k price and till then my coins will stay safe in my wallet and bitcoin bless everyone at this time and it will give me an epic life soon to live.

You should sell when you have found bad news that affects the crypto market. Also, you should keep track of the market capitalization and volume of coin you hold if it has a lot of deceleration, then sell immediately because that's the sign of the Investors are withdrawing capital from the market and make sure your coin is going to fall off a lot.

since my first trading until now usually I sell a coin if I think the price is good and provide benefits for me, sometimes I sell my coin loss if there is another coin that has the potential to give bigger profit. Smiley

I have not been planning to sell my bitcoin because I believe it will be good and great value in the coming days or years. It is really a matter of being prepared in case of sudden need.

Of course, if you invested in such a coin, which can fluctuate 50% higher, then you are lucky. I think that today there are very few such coins, you have projects that I recently increased at a price of 4 times. but the fact is that it seems that this is the trend of today, because almost all of the country's currency is growing up today.

Getting on another coins from one is a job of Professional traders. Otherwise, you may miss a great opportnities. This would be bad actually. The best thing to do, making your plans according to the conditions of the market now.

I usually  sell when the price and the position are good and I already get my profit and check the chart that it is the highest price and there is a tendency that the price will go down, that is the time that I usually sell my bitcoin and altcoins.

No. I just sell my coins every time I see the value started dropping. The market would never drop all at once. Thus, I normally exchange the falling coins with the rising ones. exchange all red ones to green.

I have seperate exit points for every coin or token that I hold. But I also got an overall portfolio exit point. Hope that if I can reach that million USD value, I will be able to cash out half of it and leave the other half in crypto. Thats my plan at least. Time will tell if I will be able to stick with those exits.

It's a good plan because I do the same thing, do not sell everything and hoard it in half, I'm sure I'll get multiple benefits someday. Spend half the coin on a coin that has great potential in the future, then I'm sure plans and dreams of getting big profits will happen.

I work in sats but that is because I bought in sats thats how I view it. We can view it in USD but I prefer to play the harder game because winning will feel that much better Wink.

I always sell when the price goes up, and I've made a profit. I am not too ambitious to get a big advantage in trading, because the risk is also high. If it does not sell when the price goes up, then I will regret when the price starts to fall.
I always buy coins that have shown a steady price for a week more or even more often looking for a stable one month more, because I think it is a good coin feature.

I offer my BTCs under just two conditions either its giving me gigantic benefits on my ventures or on the off chance that I am in dire need of cash and if not I want to hold it for a long haul and notwithstanding when I offer I don't offer every one of them without a moment's delay and dependably hold some BTCs for future as cost can go significantly higher in future so sparing them for future can be more productive.

I sell my bitcoins only if I am in need of money desperately or if I am making very good profits on my initial investment as I don't prefer to keep it idle in wallet by simply holding it so whenever its giving me profits I sell my bitcoins and wait for the dip in price so that I can buy more bitcoins at cheaper price and I follow the same process again and again to make timely profits and same goes with altcoins too I immediately sell my altcoins when I am getting positive results from it.
