Is it possible to disable solo-mining?

Its difficult to even want to put any POW mining power into this, being almost impossible to hit even 1 block unless u have multiple G/Hashes (double digits minimum)....while competing with the solo-miners...

It dont feel too decentralized....while the solo-miners are ripping it up =/


At least...if solo-mining were disabled, It would force them to come to mine in the pools ...where we ALL get a chance at receiving a "portion" of the cut ^^"

It's super low profit i think with GPU-s. 590MH/s generates around 1.3 vegas per day. I think monthly profit is around 390$, compared to other coins which are around 1300-1500$

U cant trust the stats in the pool...they are WAYYY off..

Even with that 10GH worker in the pool.....the time for the pool to block...is usually TRIPPLE ..what it actually says...trust me...ive tested it for AGES...
If that 10GH worker is removed...u wont see a block for A LONNNNG TIME ..

And u Certainly wont get the amount of VGS per day.....that it says u will get...

Just gotta hope that when u do block...itll be with a Random 1VGS reward ^^"

Tho... i guess thats one reason that makes this coin so "valuable"... its almost impossible to block ^^" (except for the "already" zillionare solo-miners) ^^"

I too would love to block the solo miners. Im with you guys. I think its a lot more fair if we could have everything divided fairly. I will consult with the team and see if there is a way to disable solomining. Now there is something you do need to know about Las Vegas coin that makes it unique....

The POW difficulty and the POS are the same!!

So, it could be possible with the stakers to take so many blocks that it would make mining very unprofitable for POW. PERHAPS if we did this for a week, and shut them out, it MIGHT cause them to back off, and leave. The ONLY reason they are mining is because it is profitable.  Its an idea for now.

I dont know if its possible to disable solo mining or I would in a heartbeat. Anyone know?

It DOES appear that solo mining CAN be disabled, but there are a still a few ways it can be defeated, but we will do it anyway. Please anyone, if you know how to defeat it, DO NOT POST IT!

To gain the MOST out of POSV3 , you MUST understand the difference between POSV2 and POSV3. In POS V2, there is a min stake time, and your coins gain weight. So in POSV2 you could close your wallet, and it gains weight, and open it once a week for higher rewards. In POSV3 (VGS coin), you MUST have your wallet open at all times or you miss the reward!!! You are LOSING money by having your wallet closed!!!
