66watts
well. 160watt and speed 43-44mhs - as I posted before - current best  Vega results mining eth. To achieve better efficiency we need some miner/driver change or mem timings hack.

UPDATE...

the 43.7 was for Expanse

Just tried the same settings with ETH 38.5

You need blockchain drivers with HBCC enabled for 44+eth. But blockchain drivers are pain to downvolt. But it is possible!

@rednoW, would you mind explaining step by step how you are getting undervolt to work with the blockchain drivers?  I've tried fiddling with command line switches and wattman settings and can't seem to get them to stick.  I'm running 5x Vega 64 at the moment and getting 41.5Mh on the blockchain drivers but I'm running 960/1025/-10%/65C fan target so my power consumption is very high.

Anyone have any joy to get the blockchain drivers to work on Windows 7-64? I cannot stand 10 not even if it did 100Mhs. When I install it on 7-64 I get snow on screen and reboots - rinse, wash, repeat.

No, blockchain drivers don't work on win7 with vega. Even robinhood version.
But 17.8.2 are not bad at all on win7. Check my posts for results.

zcash and other altcoins stats
if possible

I have two Vega 64 cards now, same settings same everything. One is capable of 1250 H/s on Monero, the second one can go to 1580 H/s o.O

My new best results with my vega64 liquid after moving to win10 and blockchain drivers

xmr - 1570h/s@130watt
eth - 44mhs@160watt
zec - 560sol - wattage didn't remember

dual eth+lbc still no improvements 41+220 at 230watt
it is old result with 17.8.2 driver on win7
Having stability issues with dual mode on win10 with blockchain drivers.
It works with default voltages and speed is good 43eth+240lbc but consumption is huge.
When I'm trying to apply downvolt setup that works well under win7 17.8.2 drivers or with xmr or pure eth with blockchain drivers - it simply hangs.
Maybe I need to give it more voltage ... but I don't like this way ))
This make Monero quite a lot more profitable to mine then eth, well if monero and eth maintain their price.
I am considering buying vega series cards , anyways is the extra bucks for liquid worth it ?

liquid needed for dualmining only cause you will need 300w for 43eth/220lbry (43eth/2800dcr).
For xmr and eth only (130w and 160w) air version is just enough.
BUT! You'll get this numbers only after special tuning that is not available public yet!
With std settings or just playing with wattman you'll get worse results.

There's plenty of people tinkering with Vega. It still has potential.

I switched back over to the 8/23 beta mining drivers. Current stats -
ETH Only - +50 power. 1137 core/p900. 1000 mem/p900 - making 39.5 mh/s ETH @ 303 watts - total system power. Avg. 1 minute ETH = 35.5 mh/s

Dual Mine - +50 power. 1137 core/p900. 1000 mem/p900 - making 39 mh/s ETH and 2700 mh/s DCR @ 424 watts - total system power. Avg. 1 minute ETH = 33 mh/s

Definitely still has some driver and power management issues
sir that was some gr8 info i was looking for all over the place.
i am thinking of getting vega64/56 but unable to find proper info regarding hashrates with oc etc

After a reboot, I am not able to reproduce the 1580 H/s score Smiley Both cards run between 1250 and 1280 H/s. Just standard Wattman settings, core as low as possible, mem to 1100, temp limit 71℃, -5% power. However, this is not enough to reduce the power draw at the wall.

We need to give rednoW some motivation to share his guide with us. A kiss won't be enough I assume.

To get back 1600h/s xmr stop your miner, go to radeon settins, gaming and move HBCC slider slightly, then hit apply.
Then run you miner again, here you go again ))
Need your kisses ))

i am planning to get vega because there are no rx5xx available here , my question is should i go with msi vega 56 ref card which costs 750$ or msi vega 64 liquid which costs 1000$ , can vega56 outperform or equal to 64 after bios flash in mining? power is green and cheapest here so its not an issue.

If power is not an issue you should better go with liquid cooling and run dual @ 300 watt.
300watt is to much for reference air cooling.
But if you pay for electricity then air cooling is ok, even rx vega 56, just run at 130-160watt and forget about dual-mining.
I have no vega 56 yet but I see no problems in flashing it with vega 64 bios and apply proper tuning then.

So it looks like vega is not very profitable at the moment. The prices for these cards in my country is insane. Might wait for prices to come down before I give it a try.

I got MSI VEGA 64 (air cooling) and it did not survive even the first night mining. I had a warranty so I should be getting a new one soon. Will give it another chance. But so far not so good.

I have 2 PCs with both 2x MSI RX vega 64 8GB both cannot use the blockchain driver, it shows grey artifactes on the whole screen on both PC, a few secunds after claymore miner starts. With only 1 card running there is no problem. Anyone have a fix for this?
