College will increase your general chances against everybody else. It will statistically net people some more money. But if you're smart enough, you shouldn't need it. Elon Musk says he does not really care about your degree. Bill Gates did not get a degree.

It's better to choose a course that is within your interest and hobby. It's easier to study when you're enjoying what you're doing. It's a good choice to finish a degree. It will take you far in the future.

Hi everyone,

I think young kids should all consider going to college and finishing a degree because it's really hard to find a job if you weren't able to finish a degree. Competition in professional world is to tough that even those who graduated in college would even have to strive to land a job. Consider your interests and hobby when choosing a course.

Its not just about going to colllege but making sure you've made the right decision of getting the course you want because that would dictate how your college life will go. It's your future that's on the line here so take no chances and take advatage of everything that can improve your chances and status

That question is actually funny. It depends on what you have in mind and your future plan. If you feel you can achieve everything in life without a college degree, fine. If you feel you can’t, fine too. But remember the world we are favours does with the degree

The college will benefit you when you are hiring a job if you are really interested in where you are going to go and develop there. Just for the sake of money, you should not go, it should really be interesting.

Yes you definitely should. Because having a diploma or certificate is a reward and gift to everyone of us. Especially having an enough knowledge that would thought to you during your college days. Many of the things that have been tackled in this stage is very important that anyone can't skip. Many things have been discussed and many ideas that you should know is in this level.
If you have finished your studies, there's always a big opportunities that comes in your life. You don't need to find one, but it is to come with you initiatively.

Hi everyone,
What advice would you give a HS senior in US about to decide on and/or enter college ?
Trade and technical schools can be a good way to enter the workforce. Have you looked at http://profoundlydisconnected.com/ ? Mike Rowe Works is behind that, you know the guy behind Dirty Jobs? http://profoundlydisconnected.com/welding-is-a-100000-job/In 9 months you could be a certified welder and earning 100,000 a year. I know a few contract welders. They are so in demand they work when they want, the rest of the time they hunt/fish/ do whatever they want. Or that place has scholarships to learn other skills. Local trade unions often have apprentice programs. Licensed Electricians, HVAC, Plumbers, etc all can have good careers. Their local union halls would give you more info.

Yes, I agree with the posts below; go to college if it is something you feel passionate about and are sure you can make back in what you spend out on the debt accrued by completing the course.
I think studying can also give you the confidence you need to succeed in your chosen career. Work experience is invaluable, but having a qualification gives you a better chance of getting the job you want.
Good Luck!
