You should go to college. There are more opportunities/job for people who finish studies than those who don't. And if you finish college i'm sure your parents will be happy. And not all people were given a chance to go to school.

Did all the rich guys that have huge companies go or finished college? There are a lot of success stories about such people.
Also, if I remember correctly, the Facebook guy I believe said that college is a waste of time and money.

Absolutely yes, you need to go college. It is very difficult to find job if you don’t have diploma. Many companies now were considering the educational background of the applicant.

check this out https://teachmeplease.io
probably, it could be a good alternative to classic eduction system . also you can combine this type of edu with pat time job

Im not sure, that this kind of studying could replace the traditional one..it could only a form of additional education..moreover, what kind of diploma will you get? Undecided

About diploma..they also have one ..but not in the way we get used to know..Anyway, I  still think that its all about your aspiration and desire to study..you even could learn smt from the internet and literature

I think that it all about level of your skiils and lots of practice

You never learn anything useful in school - all good skills you learn by yourself.
And employers that are stuck in the mentality that you need a degree are not practical people.

Many occupations do not require one to earn a bachelor's degree to get hired for an entry level job. However, if you want to move beyond that position, there is a good chance you will need to go to college. You can decide whether to earn a degree before you begin your career or once it is underway.

If you have the opportunity to go to college, don't hesitate to go for it and give all you have for your education. That is the most important thing in life and if you don't do it now you might do it never.  Smiley

Hi everyone,

What advice would you give a HS senior in US about to decide on and/or enter college ?
You must go to college. Finishing college will give you a lot of good opportunities in the job world. Many people cant go to college because of financial problem and since you have resources, better go to college. Having a diploma is your lifetime wealth.

If you can why not. And if your parents can still provide you to continue your college why not. Because college can open many opportunity for you in the near future. And college diploma is one of the best gift you can give to your parents it is the proof of your hardwork and skills. In college you can gain alot of experience and it is once in a lifetime.

Ok, you should go, but already know what you want to do, if you get a refund from financial aid(not loans), invest a little into cryptocurrency

Depends on the kind of job you would like to be pursuing in future (low position vs. CEO etc.), depends on the domain that job would be located in (business, education, tech etc.), also depends on the country you will be living in. In Germany for example, in theory you can do without higher education or just be fine with a Bachelor's degree.

1. There are thousands of different kinds of scholarship programs available, both in the US and outside. If your grades are good, why not try and apply for one of these. There are platforms that list the scholarship programs available. There might be even scholarships for the less privileged students or students with extra financial needs.

2. Think about getting your university degree (BA or BA + MA) in another country. In many parts of Europe, university education is 100% free! Also, some parts of Asia offer very attractive programs for students from abroad, e.g. you could give it a thought to go and study in Japan, Korea or China.
Learning the language is a plus, but not necessarily required. There are many degree programs in universities abroad that are offered completely in English!

I hope this helps. I’m from Germany myself so I maybe not the most promising contact to be giving you useful information about the education system in the US, but you can always ask me, if you have any further questions.
