I am sure the first thing that has made bitcoin popular is its value. The trend at which the value has stepped up over the years has made most newbies to start getting interested not just only in bitcoins but even other altcoins they can lay their hands on.
Secondly, bitcoin has been able to stand the test of time and I am sure it is gonna be unshakeable until we reach the moon. The recent adoption by most countries will definitely take it there.
Lastly, it remains the crypto king and the last time I checked kings are always popular in their world. It is the first and it ushered the way in for the birth of other cryptocurrencies, so there is no debate on why it shouldn't even be popular in the first place.

to me i think the interest and the investment of the people have made bitcoin more popular. people are interested to invest money in bitcoin for a long time which make people more confident  and they also start taking interest in bitcoin and therefore i think bitcoin s become more and more popular as time passed.

Bitcoin is the most popular of all the digital currencies because it is the first of them all. Without bitcoin, I don't think that there will be an emerging digital currency. Also, as the first and original digital currency,  it has the highest price of them all, so the tedency of the users are to be attracted to it because it has the most price.

Of all the coins out there the only one you think isn't a scam is bitcoin and doge? Crazy! I think you're confusing a scam with simply being overvalued.

If you think so, i think otherwise .. bitcoin is very popular among other coin coins. It's because of the number of bitcoin users who use the coin. They also use bitcoin to buy some altcoin for trading. I think if you think only bitcoin and dogecoin is not a scam while a coin is a scam .. that's wrong .. if opening a trading account in bitterx, crytopia or novaexchange. There are so many coin coins you can use for trading and can produce bitcoin. If you just focus on bitcoin and dogecoin only, you probably will not get much profit from trading. i think that may not be the reason, being second may not be the only reason , but i think bitcoin is more trusted than any other currency which is making bitcoin more popular and trusted. in fact the popularity of bitcoin is increasing continously which is introducing bitcoin in all over the world and therefore the popularity of bitcoin is increase day by day as compare to any other currecy, and hope that very soon bitcoin will be the  most popular currncy of the world.

Bitcoin is the most popular of all the digital currencies because it is the first of them all. Without bitcoin, I don't think that there will be an emerging digital currency. Also, as the first and original digital currency,  it has the highest price of them all, so the tedency of the users are to be attracted to it because it has the most price.

It's obvious. Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency that have ever existed, and altcoins are essentially all based off bitcoin to some degree. Bitcoin has the biggest amount of community members and supporters, as well as merchants that are able to accept it.

If you think about it, ethereum which is a close second to bitcoin has probably no real life vendors.

A lot of altcoins also are purely for the benefit of their founders, in the form of ICOs. A lot of people disagree with this sort of business model and they'd rather have something trustworthy and proven by time like bitcoin.
