I believe that they're popular mainly because well it was the first of all cryptocurrencies to be made. Honestly most of the other coins are scams and greedy ways that the developers make money. The only other coin I can think of that isn't a scam are dogecoins! What do you think?
This you can understand simply that bitcoin is an first altcoin as well as a lead in the crypto field. It is widely known and used for exchange so it is most popular cryptocurrency. |

As for me it has become popular because it is one of the true and one of the first crypto currencies that came into frame. I think that's why people trust alot in Bitcoin it cannot be a scam

For me, Bitcoin is widely used and can be converted to cash at any time because there are many traders willing to buy BTC in large quantities. I think Bitcoin will always be leading the cryptoucurrency market and will always have good prices

Saying about the popularity of the bitcoin over the other altcoins is simple as you said that it was the first cryptocurrency to be made and also because of the price market it holds against the other coins. Other than bitcoin i think ethereum is good . |

I don't claim perfect knowledge but I think bitcoin is the most popular because it started the earliest, 5 to 6 years ago, bitcoin was like the other cryptocurrencies now, the altcoins now might be like bitcoin in the future, we will never know.

Well, you are right. Bitcoin is famous because it is the oldest of all crypto currencies ever made ij the crypto world. But for me, the way i see it, bitclin is famous not just because of its age alone. It is so famous also because of its great history and the great vision and conceot of the developer. Which is satoshi. Amd regarding the altcoins, there really are a lot of trashy coins and scams. But some of them are truly legitimate and wuite cool. You just have to know how to identify shitcoins or scams so that you never lose profits. |
