What happened?
Not entirely sure, looks like someone mined an invalid block and some clients let it through, others didnt. Or could of been a deliberate attack. how to fix it yourself? just in case ...

Or could of been a deliberate attack. how to fix it yourself? just in case ... all you gotta do is delete your old blocks and chainstate folders then use the ones in the zip file and it will sync right up, you can make sure to add me as a node addnode=74.196.59.25:7999 addnode=74.196.59.25:7912 addnode=107.170.113.37:37331 addnode=54.236.122.39 then start solo mining or you can use http://merge.minebig.com

Your "fix" is a disaster, the checkpoint you added is on a shorter chain with less work, which is why the blockchain keeps freezing. In other words you are trying to make a bad fork the official one through checkpoints, but this doesn't work because there is a concurrent chain that is longer and has more work (thus, it is the official one by Bitcoin rules). The right chain currently has 793,710 blocks:
Block 786,082 is 6bd72a326b976b882bbdf68051b7cabcfcbdb2ac9c16d5b8a362bfa00716c13b Block 785,950 is cd1869dba1d23e0b1f9dad0ce7c8ec21c25770f7f9f9fa2beca045f7ffa1b9a9 Block 785,863 is d343df4810bdb2f89f2b3bcfa04ad8131557bbb1fab312d477f7f947fabb0b6c
Now the coin has a deep fork because of the bad checkpoints you added and it's going to revert a ton of transactions with 1500+ confirmations

That chain is the wrong one, so they should stop mining it.

It was the right one until you decided that your own chain was "right" despite having less work. Don't be surprised if some people are unhappy about it

lost alot
Same here, several pools have switched over but one can still compare https://altexplorer.net/chain/Franko and https://coinplorer.com/FRK to see that the bad fork that was made official still has 2x lower diff. What a low move....

(Downloaded the new Franko-Client) My Blockchain matches with this one: https://coinplorer.com/FRKIs this the right blockchain?! Please tell me asap, because I don't want to be an active node inside the wrong blockchain. Thank you. -> now I see it's the right one (very fast decrease in difficulty at this page https://altexplorer.net/chain/Franko) I'm sorry for the guys who lost FRK on the wrong blockchain.
