bcash joke of 2017, I wonder if peoples are really buying it

Yes, people are really buying it. There are many people who are on the side of bigger blocks to solve the scaling problem. Given the state of the other chain's current tx backlog for about a month or more, many more are looking at bigger blocks as a more expedient solution. Yes, Blockstream is working on rolling out LN "soon;" however, there are people who actually want to use BTC to pay remittances and engage in transactions for goods and services, today, and can't wait for "soon." Furthermore, if a small investor wants to buy just 100.00 in BTC, this is not practical anymore. They either have to leave their coins on the exchange or pay an exorbitant fee to transfer safely to their own private keys.
Yes, I realize one could buy Ripple or LTC or any of the other upteen shitcoins. However, less merchants accept these shitcoins as viable payment alternatives, and if you are paying employees with remittances, which employee is going to willing accept these shitcoins as payments? Furthermore, why should a small investor that just wants to wade their toe in the water be relegated to doing it with shitcoins?

A fun game I like to play to pass the time is try to differentiate the willfully ignorant blockstream shills from the earnestly deceived btc fanboys.

It's usually pretty obvious but sometimes it's harder than you'd expect!

I do not know if nobody noticed, but transactions in bitcoin cash are increasing considerably, it sounds fantastic!

It is increasingly common to see block of 1, 2 and even 4mb in bitcoin cash

I'm really excited to see it

https://cash.coin.dance/blocks

https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/size-btc-bch.html#3m

No this is bad for example one of the later larger blocks

https://blockdozer.com/insight/block/000000000000000003e0c76b90c275d5ef5b09d0db58ff1144f43f35081f73ec

This is almost 3MB in size 3x the size of a block on BTC but only has 527 transactions in it every block on BTC has over 2000 transactions or 4x as many so for this 3MB block to compete with BTC it would need to be 12MB in size

The sat/b fee may be lower but the average transaction size is way bigger and this is really bad

See your chart here but instead of comparing blocksize compare the transactions per block

https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/size-transactions-btc-bch.html#3m

The blocks may be bigger but the TX count which is what matters is only a fraction of the size this means the BCH blockchain will grow in size much faster than BTC while doing the same amount of transactions

At this rate you will be filling a 8MB block with ease but still doing less transactions than BTC  Wink

But what do you say hahaha, that is useless people

btc and bch share THE SAME SYSTEM OF BLOCKS, they fit the same amount of tx per block Mb, so Bch supports 8 times more transactions than btc, BASIC LOGIC. Segwit nobody uses it,

You're a disgusting troll, I have you more than signed

There is no incentive to batch or optimise transactions therefore most are being sent in highly inefficient ways bloating blocks to make them look like they are being used when infact they are just as empty as before

take your inefficient blocks then

You wanna be a millionaire? You saw what BCH did today? Are you sorry to regret the $ 700 thrown away at BCH?

https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/7loucl/bch_is_closing_in_on_eth_in_volume_soon_market_cap/

its great! The only merit as eth currency has been that people have used it to escape the bitcon fares.

Now bitcoin cash will take its place, you can use again eth freely for smart contracts and bch will climb to the second position. Then there will only be one for the top

That with coinbase is their own stupid fault they chose to inefficiently store the transactions making it more expensive to move they are welcome to go and bloat the BCH chain as much as they want with their incompetence these sort of things should be punished and not rewarded

Yeah 8 mb blocks is a brilliant and long lasting solution for scaling. Not.

BTC is not "useless." It can actually be used. It's just overly priced to use at the moment. If you are willing to pony up the sats, you can get your transaction confirmed in a relatively short amount of time. I will concede that it's not frugal at all to use BTC at the moment. But if you are a spendthrift, then it's great.  Grin

Do you guys think is is gonna be the real bitcoin ? That's why the price keep decreasing ?
What do you say ? BCH prices are currently increasing drastically. Although now the price of BCH is slightly down it is a common thing. I am sure that by 2018 BCH prices will continue to increase.

I switched to Bitcoin Cash today. I had to pay $35 USD to get rid of my BTC which really pissed me off. I think the BTC community is sleeping big time, fees and delays are unacceptable. Where is the roadmap to solve these problems? I'm pretty sure BCC will provide a better return on my investment compared to BTC in 2018. I still hodl my Litecoins for now.

There are some more solutions to optimise the blockchain and allow more to be stored in the limited space coming and once these are all done then we can debate the blocksize increase

Also there is LN from LightningLabs and KimDotCom has BitCache both will give pretty much unlimited scaling just see which one's win out or if both do but no matter what happens you don't need to choose as it's all bitcoin

https://twitter.com/KimDotcom/status/944661811667677184

My money is on LN be most widely adopted but I can see some potential in BatCache maybe they will have a different audience

Roadmap? If you can’t seem to find a btc roadmap you shouldn’t be investing! Where is bcc roadmap? Shitcoin will be irrelevant soon, the only thing bcc team spend money on is advertising for suckers like you. It’s a ponzi and you’re all going to get ripped again.

hello all,
how much money miner make from mining btc vs bch?
pretend lightning networks works well for btc, then miners wont be needed for btc network? bc mostly transactions would be done off main chain?
then most miners will mines other coins, whichever coin that generate more revenue?

This sight should help. https://whattomine.com/asic. Since BCH now retargets every block, profitability is pretty close to parity with BTC these days.

Miners will still be needed 100% for LN to operate it will just take many small microtransactions off chain because who care's 10 years from now that you sent $1 to buy something it's not worth keeping for all eternity and just let on chain be for high value transactions

if mining profits similar in Btc and Bch, then why transaction costs much more in btc, yet slower? basically, people paid more in btc transactions than in bch transactions, so where the extra revenue goes to if miners make similar profits?
